    Good morning all :coffee1:
No sunshine here @Ladybird4 … it’s overcast and the forecast speaks of a wet day ahead … Im going to give the squashes, toms and courgettes a dose of seaweed solution today and plant them in a couple of days time … I’m a bit lacking in ooomph thus morning and as we’re going out this evening I want a lazy day first. We’ve tickets for a wonderful concert Bach: Mahan Esfahani & Britten Sinfonia | Norfolk & Norwich Festival
I used to work for the N&N Festival and an Early Music Centre and this sort of wonderful performance was my daily bread but over the past few years, what with COVID and then my son’s accident I’ve not been to a concert for an age … I’ve had these tickets for six months … I’m soooo looking forward to it :hapydancsmil:

Just woken to glorious sunshine. Feeling much better this morning, almost back to normal. OH is snoring a bit, hope he hasn’t caught the bug, he is not the best patient. Planning his birthday breakfast at the Donkey Sanctuary this morning, followed by a walk. Son’s dog is here for the week, she is also snoring gently! Very old and now deaf, but she loves the sanctuary too.
Got a bit despondent yesterday while walking the dog round the garden. It’s a jungle out there! I thought I’d been making progress with dealing with the rhododendron ponticum, but now it’s in flower, there are still plenty of clumps. It’s terrifying how big a growth spurt has happened in just over a week, wonderful if one is growing foodstuffs, but not much fine when I already struggle to keep things just manageable. The pot plants by the front door were all fine, but the hanging basket, currently filled with trailing ivy, was a bit dry. However, when I was watering it, a bird shot out. I’ll have to set up a chair by the window for observation purposes! I hope I didn’t over wet any babies.
Hope you all have an enjoyable weekend.

I share a similar sort of despair when I look at the crop of weeds that appear relentlessly on my drive. Its such a time consuming task and by the time I get up to the top end of the drive the weeds have started popping up again at the bottom! Grrr!

            Morning all.

            Happy birthday to @Ergates husband.

I hope @Dovefromabove enjoys the concert but I'm sure she will.

            We slept well.

Cloudy outside, no sun expected but it will be fairly warm.

Youngest granddaughter will be 7 on Monday so she is having her party this afternoon.

Good morning all, bright and sunny here. It seems my wife has sparked a birthday bonanza, they are popping up all over.
Managed a bit of work on plots yesterday morning and a bit in the garden in the early eve,, later went out again with the torch and got around a dozen small snails munching away on plant in the green wall. They were all going for the coleus we had just put in, they're not anymore
No more large rodents in the traps but another mouse by the greenhouse, must find time to investigate properly I think they might be a nest in there. These larger traps are a bit overkill for mice but it must be instant .

                  Good morning,

We have some sunshine for the moment, though not sure for how long. I hope it stays dry as I’ve got some plants from the GC to pot up, petunias, begonias (though I might leave them another week, along with the pelargoniums as it’s still too early for them to go out doors).

I’m glad you’ve had a lovely holiday @Ergates, and pleased that you feel much better this morning. The photos are stunning.

The fish and chips were, as usual, very good. I always ask for a small portion of chips but still get too many. Delicious as they are, I soon get fed up of eating them. However, I did eat all the fish.

                  Enjoy the concert @Dovefromabove.

Had a quiet day, took the dog for a walk, watched some of the Post Office enquiry, painful to watch, before collecting my son from the station. We went to a local hostelry for a cup of tea before going to my daughter for a meal. It was lovely to be around the table enjoying a meal and each other's company.
They are hoping to take part in an open sea swim, coastal path run today weather permitting so were winding each other up about how they would each get on.

                      Good Morning everyone.

It’s not looking too bad weather wise today so I’ll do a SM run now before the masses venture out for the BH BBQ food. If I leave it too late, there won’t be a bread roll to be had!

Have a lovely day all - particularly those doing Birthday stuff.

                            Crumbs @Dovefromabove - that’s some haul now!

It’s a cracking day here - I’m just pricking out Phlox seedlings and doing a patio pot shuffle between cuppas.

Cheers to you @Valley Gardener , for not setting poison out for mice. its not only cats but if folks have Barn owls, or other birds of prey that eat mice, your killing those beautiful birds.

its Saturday, 72, sunny. out in garden for a bit.

New guests arrived safe and sound last night. Yes, it seemed the cleaner got all done by 4PM. New guests brought a canoe with them, hope they have a pleasant venture paddling the river just off our dock.

This picture is what I see from the deck Wine-New Bern..jpg at our airbnb. Another wine shot, LOL.

There is sunshine here at my Son 1's, forecast said cloud. The garden is full of little girls running about having fun at my granddaughter's 7th birthday party.
