Good afternoon, had a really lazy day today, much needed. Walked to the village shop this morning and managed to get there and back in the dry. Chatted to the Community volunteers who help look after our community apple orchard (or what's left of it) and suggested a bench half way along for us 'old ones' to have a rest would be extremely gratefully received!
OH had gone off in his old 1938 Austin 10 for an Austin event near Calne so I put my feet up and read the weekend papers - bliss. After lunch, in between some heavy showers, I was able to weed one of the upper terrace beds - every little bit helps in a large garden! Got rained off just as OH got home.
Glad you enjoyed the concert @Dovefromabove and met up with old friends.
Bravo @Punkdoc, hang on in there, not an easy thing to do.
@Goldenlily26 , gosh, that sounds quite a shock to the system for your children. I don't understand the mentality and competiveness of such events, but I don't like getting wet or cold!

Hi all. I've been catching up on about three days of chat here... I can't remember much but will wish @Punkdoc all the strength, courage and luck needed to get through.
I'm sorry @Dovefromabove is still battling with slugs and mice. I hope the saga ends soon!

We've had a super, delicious lunch at the golf club today with friends. The new people who have taken over the bar and restaurant are already a big hit.
