What a lovely post @Victoria :spinning:

Great to see non U.K. posters as I like to hear about the weather, seasons and plants in other climates.

I puzzled over that @Songbird … then I saw ‘Bookmark’ at the foot of the posts (bottom left). I’ve clicked on that and am crossing my fingers that’s the thing to do

I can only see a bookmark to bookmark the poster @Dovefromabove and that’s towards the middle of the blue box where your name is. Thanks anyway.

Its not something I do, I just use the new posts button at the top, or if I want to go to a specific thread I just get to it via "forums", I know it all looks complicated but I guarantee if you stick with it you will find the ways that are best for you, in a couple of weeks you will have it sorted, its a bit like driving a new car, after a while the old one would be strange if you got into it.
Watch thread only works when a new post is there, so you can still use that as well, you get an alert when that happens.

Thanks for the info @pete. So a watched thread doesn’t necessarily show up on watched threads unless a new post is there? That’s useful to know. Thanks for the heads up about the New Posts too, will keep an eye out there. Thanks again.

Good morning @Dovefromabove and all to follow. Up early for me, someone coming at 9am to dig out a tree stump and roots . OH still fast asleep, so I've got some quiet thinking time to myself. Always a good start to the day!

A very good morning one and all. I checked my feet this morning and so far I haven't developed any webs, though how I haven't is beyond me. Yes, its raining again. I am thinking of paying a visit to my local nursery - noted for being the cheapest in my area. I promised an elderly neighbour I would get him a Sarcococca for his front garden and I am after some Aubrieta. The last time I was there I bought some wonderful eggs and for the first time in millenia I have had eggs with double yolks! May have to get some more!

I'll pick your brains here @Dovefromabove as I know you are a baker. If a recipe requires 2 eggs for example, and you get one big egg with a double yolk would that do? I'm erring on the side of 'no' though theoretically you could end up with two double yolkers i.e. 4 eggs.

Hi everyone, after lurking on Hello Forkers (a GW thread) for years, I’m going to be brave and become a contributor instead! It’s dry here in South Devon at the moment but it looks a bit grey so I’m not holding out much hope.
Dog walks at the moment mean squelching through mud … yesterday I walked around our local lake at Stover and I think I’ll go back there today. It’s the least muddy place at the moment and there’s an interesting battle going on with the resident swans as 4 new adult swans have arrived and the male swan is spending his whole time trying to drive them off, poor chap.
On a sad note, I have to pick up our beloved Westie’s ashes from the vets today as he was put to sleep last Wednesday, he was 15 and we miss him so much. I ordered the rose, Little White Pet, from David Austin which was delivered yesterday, a perfect rose as a memorial to him.
Hope I haven’t rambled on too much folks :)
