Good afternoon all. So good to see you @Goldenlily26 - you have been very much missed. Pleased to read the boiler is still going strong @Ergates and 20 years old has to be some sort of a record. I think mine is about half that but the engineer said it was a good boiler and should last a long time - maybe as long as yours! Do you think that your first set of seeds may have been a bit too warm? Only guessing. I have had the summons for the quiz match tonight so I really hope that it doesn't rain.

        It's raining! Nay, pouring!
We unwrapped the f.g. order this afternoon and have let it soak. It might be swamped!
Both pinned arm and surgery wound are aching like billy-o today.
Good to see you here again @Goldenlily26. How are you coping?
Good luck with the quiz, @Ladybird4
We will watch UC, then the Golden toilet hoist. It was obvious the police had nothing to go on.

Oooh you are a card @Penny_Forthem! @Ante1 this is an old fashioned expression to say that someone is an amusing person. Going to love you and leave you and I'll catch up with any new news tomorrow. @Busy-Lizzie should be home by then. Enjoy your evenings.

Great to see you again @Goldenlily26. I hope you are well.

Busy day today, starting with checking on my babies. I have lots of deep red dwarf sunflowers now and they shot up 3" yesterday. PSB and some herbs coming too and the FG bare roots perennials are doing well. Topped up the feeders and water for the chooks. Then shower and dress for going to patchwork after lunch.

Spent my entire afternoon on my feet trimming the bands and cutting the wadding for our Corsican patchwork then stapling the layers together ready for quilting by our embroiderers. No crochet except for a quick consult with my guide and mentor. She says I'm doing OK but I find it frustrating and feel a bit crochetty afetr a session.

Hope you've got home OK now @Busy-Lizzie and that this next week at work isn't too difficult @Debs64

Our weather is not birlliant either @Tui34 and we're back to being drowned on Saturday which will dampen the plant fair pretty badly. We make our money on the cake stand and lunchtime BBQ but it's a big day for our 70+ invited nurserymen and women too. Let's hope the forecast changes again and for the better.

I'm off to bed early as I seem to have @lizzie27's sinusitis so slept very badly last night.

Welcome back @Goldenlily26, sorry to hear you've had computer problems to contend with as well as your recent bereavements. Hope life will be kinder now.

Hope your train journey/friend's taxi arrangement works well @Busy-Lizzie. Sorry the weather looks likes it's on the change. We had some glorious days last week in East Devon. You were quite right @Ergates, we were in your neck of the woods, at Sidmouth. The Donkey place did occur to me but then I remembered it was the school holidays so thought better of it!

Unfortunately OH thinks he's getting my cold - just in time for Easter so have had to notify my daughter that her visit may have to be postponed. We'll know in the next day or two I suppose.
It was quite windy and colder here today so I haven't done much, an hour's pottering in the garden, ironing and tidying up the bedrooms.

I'm so sorry @Penny_Forthem oryour arm is hurting today, inevitable I suppose after being drilled and messed about with but at least you don't have a plaster cast to worry about. Regular painkillers on the dot seems to work well, my GP told me very strictly that I shouldn't try to be a hero and do without, you need to keep the pain under control in order to get better.

Sometimes, pottering about days are good for you @redstar.

You were wise to avoid the Donkeys, @lizzie27, we were up there this morning at 9am when it was almost empty. By 9.30 it was getting busier and noisier, by 10am, it was packed and the main car park was full. Luckily we know which bits of the sanctuary that people rarely find, so we got a walk in peace. Sorry you weren’t in the best of health for your trip, hope OH doesn’t get hit too badly with the bug.
Hope they gave you plenty of painkillers to bring home, @Penny_Forthem. As others have said, try to keep up the doses regularly, they work more effectively if they are keeping the pain dulled down rather than starting from scratch. If you have two different painkillers ( eg paracetamol and ibuprofen ) try to alternate them so that you are getting a dose of something every three hours instead of six. Make a big fuss of yourself for the next week or more!
Raining here now. I think a sleep in tomorrow is in order.

Well GD had an eventful day, she observed ENT surgeries. She seems unfazed, by that which is just as well as she has ambitions to be a forensic pathologist. Although she was ony watching, she found being on her ferr all day quite tiring. Good experience, not sure what she will be doing tomorrow.
Best wishes for your recovery @Penny_Forthem .

A very good morning one and all. The rain has arrived. Last night we were well beaten in the quiz. Enough said about that then! I need to get some cards posted today. Might make a quick dash to 'sco before all the traffic gets manic.

Good morning to you all! Lovely to see you back here Joyce @Goldenlily26 Bien venu!
                            .
It's actually sunny - well sort of - but that'll do me. I had planned to fill some shelves my friend put up for me in the laundry thinking it would be raining - maybe a change of plan although it is far too wet to do any gardening/weeding.

Take it easy @Penny_Forthem I echo everyone's comments!! As @lizzie27 says, the pain is due to the surgery so will take time to settle down. In the meantime ......be a good girl!!

I hope your journey home went well @Busy-Lizzie There will be lots to do.

We had our annual plant fair here last weekend @Obelix-Vendée but I have no more space in my limited garden - vegetables take priority now although a lemon tree wouldn't go amiss.

                            Have a pleasant Tuesday everyone.

We had rain overnight. Still raining a little.

I must go and rescue the bowl of succulents that my OH left in the bird bath.
Please don't ask me why she left them there!!

Work today, I didn’t get any done yesterday. I decided to make the most of the sunshine whilst it lingered on so after our morning walk spent the afternoon in the garden.

We have decided to do the 5:2 diet so fasting today, my stomach is already rumbling…

Hopefully work this morning and admin and housework this afternoon will keep me distracted from thinking about @Debs64 rice pudding.

Hope everyone has a good day
