Good morning all. Another sunny day and I am off as working on Saturday so another garden day then wild swimming this evening. Perfect!
Glad the dentist went well @Ladybird4
I saw Wolf Hall @Busy-Lizzie and admired the house and garden, is it a national trust property?

Good morning everybody. A different kind of day for me today. I am expecting an Ocado delivery between 07:00 and 0:800 and a few weeks back I bought some amazing sausages from a Company called The Black Farmer. Other companies are available! I have always been searching for a decent, flavoursome, banger and I was blown away by these. Hardly any fat released, little shrinkage, a skin that didn't need a hacksaw to get through it and a beautiful balance of spices. I was so impressed I had to email them - I did explain I don't 'do' social media as they do feature on many platforms - hence the email expressing my delight at this product. I thought no more about it but received a lovely email back then a week later an email from the Commercial Director, who, from the name must be related to the founder who was a child of of the Windrush Generation, asking if he could ring me and talk to me about the brand and my email. To cut a long story short, he is ringing me at 10:30 this morning.

That's a lovely story, @Ladybird4. Do let us know how it goes.
I was a busy yesterday, I didn't stop. Friends for lunch (one more than expected, which was lovely), then family for supper. I fully expected to sleep for 8 hours, mais, non!
        Up for first physio.
        May have a snooze later.

Not peeking, @Ladybird4 (except through the curtains at the world outside)!!
Re. the sausages - some companies appreciate an email (or letter), instead of a social media entry. It means you have taken more time and effort.
Maybe they will send you some extra sausages!! I suggest drawing up a list of your favourites, just in case. It will also show that you have been looking at more of the website.
Just an idea - or had you been thinking along those lines already?

My son washed down the inside and outside of the greenhouse while I sat and washed the pots and drip trays. After a cuppa he then began digging over the overgrown veg. patch. He is going to finish it today bless him. The ground is like a dust bowl. It is lovely having him around, will really miss him when he goes back to Canada.
The home eye test eventually went very well. A delightful young man, freshly moved down to Redruth from Aberdeen, carried out an extremely thorough test, told me my sight was equivalent to a 16 years old, so why do I need glasses? I am sure they tell everyone that. Took out a second mortgage to pay for a new pair of glasses. He told me his company had no one down here and kept asking for a volunteer to move, as the result of a joking remark he made to his girlfriend, they are now living down here! They are enjoying themselves but didn't realise how wet Cornwall is and find the 12 hour drive home to see family and friends is a bit of a chore.

                Morning folks.

I’m on ‘afternoons’ today so I’m having a quiet morning before an inevitable change of pace.

I hope everyone has a day filled with positives and happiness.

Good morning. Another bright and sunny start but chilly. I have an eye check up later this morning and, as it's in La Roche, I'll do a raid on the Vietnamese for some spices and another SM for cottage cheese.

We had quite a few good showers of rain yesterday morning but the nearest official rain guage says only .4mm which is hardly worth measuring. Might get a similar dribble this evening then nothing for 10 days.

Never heard of an Ecclefechan tart but, lo and beold, there's a recipe on BBC Food so maybe I'll try them out on the French next autumn. Meanwhile I have to decide on what to take to the fête des voisins this Saturday - annual neighbours party to which I need a change from pork and black pudding sausage rolls for the apéro. Maybe koftas. Need a British dessert to share too.

Have a good day everyone whether working or playing.

Back from physio with a shedload of exercise and good intentions. He seems to think I'm doing well with some movements, but not the others (the painful ones, of course!)

Good afternoon, I had a hospital appointment this morning first thing, been in garden since we got back. Got to go back tomorrow for results.

We used to get Black Farmer sausages in our local Sainsbury's, but the stopped stocking them. Shame I agree they are great.
Very warm and dry here too, hoping my Allotment pals are keeping the greenhouse watered for me.
Might get there tomorrow pm .

It's always that way @Penny_Forthem. If I told the physio which ligament or tendon or muscle was tender/weak/painful when used I'd get extra exercises. Still do some at home tho I stopped going end of Feb.

Eye tests done - lazer treatment still working so eye pressure good but left eye is now weaker than right eye so I need new glasses for driving - Ha, he said, lady drivers very dangerous. he's still alive and in one piece as I just told him quietly that women have fewer and less severe accidents. This time I can get them with polarized lenses for driving in sunlight.

Just a short potter outside for me this pm as I have to start doing write-ups for the gardens we'll be visiting on the garden club tour in June. I shall have to put the sprinkler on for all the pots in my nursery.

We are lucky here as sausages are all meat and then either "nature" or with herbs and or onions or a bit of spice for merguez. Wish they'd discover irish and Scottish black and white puddings with oatmeal tho. French boudin does not go with breakfast!

Good afternoon all. Well I had a very interesting chat to Alex Emmanuel-Jones (son of Wilfrid the founder of The Black Farmer). He thanked me for my feedback and discussed further products including jerk chicken sausages and cumberland sausages which will be added to Ocado's lists in the next few weeks. He asked where I had bought my favourite food from in the past so I mentioned Tesco and M&S. He then said that they were updating their packaging and would I give my views on that. He told me to pass on any feedback on those new products.
It was so lovely chatting to him and then he offered me £100 worth of vouchers to spend as I wished but I asked him to donate the vouchers on my behalf to the Trussell Trust, the Charity I volunteer at, providing food for people less fortunate. He sent me an email with the screen shot of the donation being made to them. What a super experience with that company. I will be looking forward for their new stuff to try and leave feedback on.

@Penny_Forthem no gain without pain - who on earth muttered that stupid expression! Physio is in my experience always more painful than the injury.
Signing out for tonight I think Ecclefechan makes a marvellous expletive!
