    Morning everyone.

Water is good for a fluid top-up because you can drink a decent volume swiftly compare to tea and caffeine isn’t the best for hydration generally @lizzie27.

I hope you all have a lovely Sunday. Chelsea coverage starts this evening! 6pm BBC 1.

Bright and sunny here but breezy so cool in the shade. OH and I have been and toured 2 local vide grenier (car boot-ish) but found nothing of interest except a bushy little peppermint plant going for 1€50 so that came home. Came home and watered my front pots while OH went to see the chooks and fetch their water pot for cleaning.

They've recently taken to laying their eggs anywhere but the nest boxes, possible beacuse the two remaining chooks cuddle up in one to sleep now instead of using their perch. We've been finding them in the raspberry patch and under the wisteria but OH weeded under there on Friday so we found one under a clematis. One hen hiding when he went down. She's made a nest under the fig tree. 2 eggs.

Possum "crept" in at 1:39 last night so I didn't get to sleep till long after. She's having a lie in today but we'll get her up for lunch then pottering with pots fo rme this pm.

I have Chelsea evening coverage set up to record but none of the day time stuff as it's too fluffy.

Glad your trips went well @Busy-Lizzie and @lizzie27. Shame about your friend tho.

@Ladybird4 there is an agenda and Minutes but no discipline regarding multiple and/or repetitive discussions. Doesn't happen at my patchwork meetings but we still have fun and get the job done.

Hope all are well and enjoying your Sunday.

Morning all, a grand Sunday to you all. Been a while. We spent time down at our second home, doing stuff. Anyway, its now leased for 3 years. Good and bad, but so much to do up here I am glad we found a nice elderly couple. Focusing on the car shows we will attend this summer and into the fall. Garden is nuts, lots to do to clean out, lots blooming. Husband gets to be a judge at one of the car shows, where his car is considered a Feature car. Then there is the wedding in Califormia end of August, have to find some clothes, tired of the stuff I have, bagging more for donation. Still taxes to finish. Take care all.

I am relaxing with a view of the North Sea. On a cruise ship on our way to Norway for a week, and spending today recovering from the preparation. I’m a compulsive list maker, and I ended up with lists of lists. I moved the more delicate pot plants out of the sun, hoping they’ll all survive after a thorough drenching on Friday night.
Very comfortable on the ship, although nothing to see from the balcony. Looking at the ship finder website, one would be forgiven for thinking that the seaways would look like the M5 on a bank holiday weekend, not just miles of open water, although we did pass a few oil or gas rigs, and a really huge wind farm. No wildlife apart from a few gannets!

@Ergates, how absolutely marvellous! May your week be as smooth as silk. I am a list maker too - frequently misplace (lose) them but they do help me focus. I am busy researching tomato grow bag supports as I have opted for growing some of my tomatoes that way this year. Anyone got any recommendations?

                Where has today gone?
All tomatoes now in final stations and I'm now planting up big pots with flowers.

I finished The invention of wings. Took me a long time to 'get into it", but I really enjoyed it.
                Thought provoking
We tried the sausages @Ladybird4 recommended and I agree .
                Early night for us.

Hello there everyone from a very overcast North West. I am planning a trip to the GC this morning to seek out grow bag supports so I can finish off the tomato planting. I also MIGHT have to buy some alpines for my planned trough. When I opened up the package the metal struts that brace the middle of the troughs were missing so I've contacted the seller through that big South American river site. Hopefully they can send out replacements quickly. Whatever you have planned for today - last minute sorting for @Busy-Lizzie before her journey home tomorrow and a busy day for @Ante1 picking up his visitor, have a good one! Now for breakfast and a cuppa.

Good morning all. I was at work all day Saturday with a stinking cold so yesterday was a lazy day. Youngest daughter came with Thomas so of course we had the paddling pool out and he was happy in there all afternoon. Lunch was easy quiche and salad and we had ice lollies in the garden for dessert. Very relaxing and just what was needed

@Penny_Forthem I am pleased that you liked the sausages. I have received positive comments from two other friends also. I think it was @Allotment Boy who said he had tried them before I did.

Hello everyone, I don’t think so have been in for a chat here for a few days. Hope everyone had a good weekend

Looks like another sunny day here. Saturday was quite grey and chilly but the sun and warmth were back again yesterday. We had our granddaughter in the morning whilst Mum and Dad were prepping for her birthday party. Modern etiquette seems to dictate that at least one parent stays with their child at a party, so we didn’t need to stay. Quite different from when my two were little. I seem to remember a good result was all the little ones collected on time, there was usually one whose parent would turn up at least half an hour late and all the parents including me wouldn’t have thought to stay unless specifically asked to help. It’s not her actual birthday until next Saturday when we will be on holiday together.

Once we dropped her back we went up to Hodnet Hall for a walk around their beautiful gardens and lunch at the cafe.

Work all day today and an early video call at 9am so will wish you all an enjoyable, productive, recuperative Monday - please delete as appropriate

                              Good morning all.

Yesterday turned out to be a busy day. I got up early to do the washing, I mean bung it in the machine so that I could hang it on the line before church. The machine decided to take 30 mins longer than usual so had to hang it out after church.

Then we found it was the church's annual meeting so we stayed for that.

Our best friends in Norfolk asked us to lunch so they could say goodbye before we go to France tomorrow. It was nearly 6pm when we got home. I did some watering. Must get a new hand sprayer, it drips all over my feet and legs. Jeans were soaked.

This morning I'll change the bedding and do the ironing. This afternoon I'll finish the weeding, not much to do though, and pack my small Ryanair bag.

Had a fairly quiet day. Washed the slabs in the greenhouse, weeded a trough and around a couple of kale plants. Found some buried pots for potting on young plants and watered the conservatory. Made a Lemon Drizzle Cake and bought a dozen eggs from my neighbour.
Her chooks are positively ferule. They sleep in the trees and bushes in preference to the hen houses and subsequently lay their eggs all over the place, under hedges, in bushes etc. She has to go on regular egg hunting forays, the trouble is you never know how fresh the eggs are. She found one clutch with 10 eggs in it which I think she binned.
The new cat on the block really is a pain. She came in last night, ate my cat's dinner and then had a go at her. There was a lot of swearing and poor Poppy flew upstairs, eyes on stalks, she is too old to put up much of a fight now. She will be 21 sometime in Oct. we think. She was abandoned in my daughter's garden one November evening.

Is it just me, despite the hot sun I find the wind really cold?
