@Beckie76 I can think of just how wonderful it would be to have a cherry picker around. All those high branches to prune and crab apples just a teensy out of reach...

It is still pitch here and over an hour to go before my show comes on. We are now having 6 episodes per week so I shall have a pristine kitchen by the end of this week's offerings. I never actually sit and watch the show, I putter and clean whilst it is airing. Then on the commercials I do the vacuuming and other loud parts of cleaning so that I don't miss the dialogue. I get loads done this way

I guess my threats to file a motion of contempt got that naughty lawyer a little concerned. They coughed up the draft for the final court order yesterday- yes on a Saturday! As soon as it is filed then we can enter our motions of change, etc. Lovely

Getting things tidy today will free up time tomorrow so that I can start baking dirt in the wood oven. The beginning of emptying pots and getting the soil ready for reuse inside.

Late getting on this thread - because - I forgot

It's been a good day so far. Sunny and a nice little breeze to dry the laundry and pleasant to be outside baking dirt.

Tried to make gumdrops but the recipe I used instructed me to boil the water/sugar part for an incredibly long time - turned out like those clear solid india rubber balls. Tried to chew on one and ended up spitting it out - too rubbery to chew. Especially whilst laughing at myself silly Lori Now I've found another recipe that sounds more reasonable and will try that

The lawyers all seem to be hopping about and it is so nice to know that I lit a fire under their whatsis

Number 1 son is coming by to borrow my chafing dishes to use at Thanksgiving. Thought I'd just run up the street to get the cans of "sterno" but ended up having to go to the next town to get them. Which at first I wasn't happy about but then half way home I veered into a fast food restaurant and bought myself a small order of chips. Lovely, oily, salty sticks of potato. Yum. Haven't had those in many years.

Good morning everyone
Well, we have a few minutes of left...

Looking forward to a day of baking dirt and pulling out any annuals in the garden that look depressing. A temporary freshen up.

Had a giggle last night. Laying in bed reading my book before dozing off, I notice something smells different. OMG, it's me! The wood smoke from my dirt baking session yesterday got into the laundry hanging on the lines and my jammies smelled lovely. Not what I'd want every night but an interesting change
