Yawn yawn, wakey wakey Autumn 2018

Thank you @Verdun my friend,surgery telephoned to say nurse had phoned in sick,hospital hospital telephoned to say appointment cancelled,enjoy your day,every cloud has a silver lining at least we haven't got to go out in the rain

 

We've put what we can into the chest freezer and the rest into the fridge. Some stuff has had to be left out. I now need to defrost things quickly (book says it takes up to 48 hours to defrost all the coil thingies. I'm put pans of hot water into the freezer and using the hair dryer lightly on the works at the back.

Freezer is up and running again and I'm, sort of, catching up on paperwork. Just going to try a bit of gardening.

Good morning all my friends on this Bonus of a day,its a Friday and is the last day of August,yes tomorrow it will be September,doesn't time fly when you are having fun,anyway have a really enjoyable day and keep smiling,have to go to Wickes again this morning to get some more bark chippings,can only get 6 in the car,and need 30 bags

@wiseowl you're getting on well with the change in the garden . Do you have to lug the bags of chippings up those steps or is there an easier way to get them to your garden? I'd never manage it!

Last night Mrs Shiney asked me to do something this morning but I can't think what it is . I'll have to wait until I wake her later on.

I'm working on writing a list of things to ask the car salesman about my new car when I get it tomorrow. It will have a lot of these new (not really wanted) mod cons. I've been reading the list of things that come as standard and only understand about 50% of them. Do I really want to be able to talk to the car and tell it what to do? Do I have to have a smart phone plugged in to be able to talk to it - because I have no intention of getting one. So all the Blue Tooth facilities(whatever that is - think it may need a dentist) won't be available. I don't reaslly want it to go and slam on my brakes if it sees someone stepping into the road 150ft ahead - as happened with a friends car. I'm quite capable of judging whether I need to slow down or not. What I really wanted on the car, and the salesman said I can't have, is a machine gun that pops out of the boot and aims directly at tailgaters!
