    Good morning everyone,

We had a frost last night and everywhere looked nice and sparkly when we went for our evening walk.It was also nice to stop in a dark part of our walk to see all the stars twinkling and then to top it all saw a shooting star:yess:

Hope you all have a very good day:)

    Good morning everyone,

I had to scrape the ice off the car twice last night - when I went out and when I was coming home :(. It's very frosty out there but the sun is showing a hint of a glow below the horizon :sunny:

Students will be here in 90 minutes so I shall have to get into cooking mode.

    Have a great day :D

Sorry, loli, only vegetarian food served on student days. No frying and everything very healthy. Boring!!!! :heehee:

Veggie chilli is always the favourite. I use Quorn mince plus home grown onions, garlic, toms, sweet peppers, carrots, celery, herbs and chillies. The spices aren't home grown but are freshly roasted and ground by me. This will be accompanied by homemade garlic bread and salad and we shall end up with plum crumble (home grown golden plums) made without sugar, butter or flour. I didn't grow the rice that will accompany the chilli. :D

Shiney, Good Luck with your students today.

Loli, Re: the temperature reading in identity chips, not sure this applies to all id chips, might be worth asking your vet when you get Theo signed off whether their chips are the same. If they are it is a really good idea.

Kandy. Apart from risking the odd tangerine over Christmas and getting gout having stayed clear of such fruit since I have been ok. I keep taking the tablets that the doc said just one a week will keep the gout at bay and they appear to do the trick. They cannot be taken with my statins though. I hope you and Mr K are keeping relatively well.

Heavy frost out there first thing, had to done my long janes and vest this morning before going out. Lovely sunshine now though. Love this sort of weather for winter.:)

      Good morning everyone,

Its cold here this morning, currently -26 with the windchill, and we got some snow overnight too.

I need to go to the grocery store soon, and do some errands.

Yep, born and raised in Ontario:)....it is cold, but not as cold as it can be here:rolleyespink:.....its not unusual to reach -40 or lower, we havent hit that yet but we will.

We dont have as much snow as we usually get......last years pic of the front of my house.....[IMG].....and we have about half of that now.

I guess being born here, the cold is somthing that you just get used too, that and some damn good winter boots help:heehee:

                  Good morning everyone,

After looking at Penny's house covered in so much snow I think we are a little spoilt in blighty with the amount of snow we get here.Just imagine what the fuel bills would be like here if we had that much snow for months on end:D

After seeing that cruise ship on it's side on the news yesterday it will put off a few of my village friends as they love cruising.I can't quiet believe how big they build them these days and that one is a lot smaller than some of them:eeew:

We managed to get to the lottie yesterday afternoon after the frost had subsided a bit and while Mr K did some fruti pruning I had a good clear out of the shed and we now have a car full of rubbish to take to the tip this morning as they had closed by the time we finished last night as it was getting dark by the time we left the site:D

Loli I bet the dogs are a bit of a handful to take out when the paths are icy especially of they are largish dogs:)

Moyra,Mr Kandy only had one bout of Gout and once he took the tablets he was given the pain subsided and he has never suffered with it since and still doesn't know what triggreed it off:D

Shiney, hope you and Mrs Shiney are both ok and that your meals for the students went down nicely:thumbsup:

Folly Mon I take my hat off to you as you have been so positive and have bounced back from problems in your life that might have pushed most of us over the edge as you have gone through more trials and tribulations than most of us suffer in a whole life time:)

We had another heavy frost last night and everywhere looks white so will make sure the birdies have plenty of fresh food and water before the Starlings come and gobble it all up:D
