    Good morning All,
Kandy believe it or not i too fell asleep after the first 15mins:heehee:didn't wake up while 10.30pm.....
I've just been sat whatching a heron trying to land on top of a large conifer,he did it but i don't know how...he's such a great big clumbsy thing,he scares me a bit as he looks so prehistoric....well he's not getting my fish....if he gets much closer i'l be doing what i do when the sparrow hawk is sat on the fence waiting to pick the birds off....run outside and start prancing around the garden:heehee: no wonder the neighbours think i'm nuts:D
    He's coming...i'm off......
    Take care everyone:dbgrtmb:

    Good morning everyone,

Its warmer here, and foggy!! I'm supposed to go to Toronto, so we'll see when the sun comes up, not driving in thick fog.

I have a couple errands to do today as well.

Hello Everyone, My first chance to get on here since I had the operations yesterday morning. I couldn't see clear enough before. What he did was laser a hole into each iris. It was horrible because he had to do about 5 or 6 laser shots per iris. This is what made it so difficult having them both done at the same time. Not that the sight in my right eye is good enough on its own anyway. I have to go back on the 8th February to see if the holes he has made are large enough to allow the fluid through without a build up of pressure in the eyes. If not I shall have to undergo the operations again. He said my eyes bled which surprised him as being unusual but I explained I am on Lisonopril which thins my blood because of the high blood pressure I was suffering from. I have to put drops in my eyes three times a day this week, twice a day next week and then finally once a day in the last week before I see him again. Steve couldn't take me to the hospital because he was suffering with an upset tummy and couldn't leave the bathroom so I had to go by taxi. Cost me £17.80 going and £17.40 coming back. Apparently I should have arranged a hospital car in the first place so I will next time.

I too missed my favourite scientist Brian Cox obviously because I could not watch telly last night. Never mind maybe there will be a chance to catch up. Now I must go as this is straining my eyes too much and I need to rest them again.

Take care everyone and have a good day. :)

    Good morning everyone,

Moyra, glad to hear that everything went off ok and hope that you are not in too much discomfort and that your eyes heal up quickly so that you can get back on with enjoying Amber and your life:)I am very squeamish about eyes and hope and pray that I never have to have any laser treatment done:(Shame that you didn't realise about the hospital car as it would have saved you all that money:mad:Hope you feel better soon:)

It looks like we have had some rain overnight so all the bird food I put out yesterday afternoon will have gone soggy:(I can now hear it raining quiet hard on the sun room roof so won't be going very far today me thinks:D

    Have a good day everyone:)

    Good morning everyone,

Moyra, I hope you're not in too much discomfort and that it eases up pretty quickly. Like Kandy, I'm very squeamish and I'm not sure I'd be able to have anything done on my eyes.

I can't tell if we've had any rain as it's too dark at the moment to see anything. We don't have street lighting so can't see anything at night. Actually, there are three lamposts in two miles of road and the village has no street lighting at all except a few lights just by the Council's 'old people's bungalows'. There have been arguments, for as long as I can remember, over whether they should be installed.

I have a clear diary today so if Mrs Shiney is free at lunch time I might take her to the pub in the next village for a 'wrinklies lunch' :heehee:

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,

We've finally had some rain :hapfeet:. It's stopped now but was raining quite heavily earlier on.

A few things need to be done today so the rain needs to keep off whilst I'm running around - don't like rain on my glasses :heehee:. I have to go into town to sort out some more things for Barry. I'm also going to see a couple with young kids where the husband has just told he will be made redundant. I'm sorting out something for him to help him with studies and retraining for another skill. I've also just managed to get hold of a copy of the software he will need at home whilst he is learning it at evening classes. It's normally £700 but I've got a business to donate it to him whilst he's studying. :dbgrtmb:

I need to rough out the outlines of a speech for Sunday as it's my sister's 70th party. It's being held in the village hall. Lots of food and socialising but no knees-up - our knees aren't up to it :heehee:.

Keep well and have a great day :D

Thanks everyone for your good wishes. Apart from having to put the drops in morning, noon and night, I think my eyes are about as good as they will ever be. Just as long as those holes don't close up because of the bleeding.

Took Amber out for her walk this morning we both came back like drowned cats! Thats a funny expression why cats?

Shiney, You are an absolute Angel sent down to do so much good for friends and people who come into your circle. I am sure Barry appreciates everything you have done for him but you haven't stopped there you have carried on to help others where ever you find the need. You should be knighted.:yay:

I hope you enjoy your sisters birthday party come the weekend. :hapfeet:

We have the funeral for our friend who hanged himself on Monday, shall be glad when he is laid to rest so to speak. He is being cremated at the local crematorium. Steve saw his widow walking their labrador last night she thanked him for our card and the offer of help but it must be very difficult for her to come to terms with what her husband has done. Poor lass. :(

Have a good day everyone. God Bless.:)

Good morning Shiney Moyra and everyone,

Had a sleepless night last night so feel drained today.I hate it when i go to bed feeling worn out then lie there half the night not being able to nod off.Must be Mr K's snoring that deos it:heehee:

Shiney, enjoy your knees up at the weekend with your sister and her family:thumbsup:.70 is a good milestone to reach:)Nice to see that with your help the couple might be able to keep going. It isn't nice out in the wide world at the moment and every day there is doom and gloom with more buisnesses going to the wall:(

Moyra, glad to see you back on here{excuse the pun}and i have my fingers and toes crossed that everything has gone well and you won't have any more problems once they have settled down.Just take it easy for a few days and enjoy Amber and Steve fussing over you:)

Hope also the funeral goes off ok for you all on Monday and yes his wife and family must be deverstated.I think last week every time i fired up the laptop there was news that another poor sole had ended their life because of one thing or another. They are out of it but it is the poor families that are left behind that have to pick up the pieces and try to start again.I do hope your friend does find some peace at last:)

Anyway, we had some more rain overnight but it has stopped now and the sun has been shining.I expect I had better go and change the soggy bird food and nuts for some fresh stuff as my little robin is flitting around in the back garden:D

Try to have a good day and do Take Care:)

    Good morning Kandy and everyone:),

Well it was a waste of time refreshing the bird food yesterday as it has rained again and it has gone soggy so will have to go and throw that lot on the ground for the blackbirds to feed on:D

    Have a good day everyone:)

It feels chilly this morning...probably because it's damp and drizzley....

Hope your eyes are improving everyday. Moyra...

    Have a good day everyone:dbgrtmb:

    Good morning everyone,

I hope you are all feeling well this morning.

It's dull and breezy out there but no rain. It was good to have the heavy rain and I hope it did something for the plants.

On Wednesday Tracy was in and we got quite a bit done in the garden. In the veggie patch we have now dug over 600 sq ft and spread compost to a depth of 6". We've cleared most of the leaves from the flower beds and there will soon be space for the rest of the leaves as we clear out one of the compost heaps. The deer fence is now up so we have about 100ft of fence that can be used for growing plants against and up. The only problem there is that the roots of the four poplar trees and two elderberry trees along that boundary may make it impossible to dig holes for plants.

    Have a great day :D
