    Morning Everyone,

Shiney, I hope you manage to find space amongst the roots of the trees to plant some nice shrubs or whatever you have in mind. As long as the roots do not starve the ground of goodness.

    Happy snow shovelling Penny!:)

Hi Everyone, where have you all disappeared to. Jazmine time to put the spring picture up now in your avatar if you have one, wont be far away hopefully.

We have the funeral tomorrow of our poor friend (silly bu55er) who hanged himself. I do hope the weather is nice for it as it will be such a sad occasion. His wife is still in deep shock as I guess so are we, does one ever come to terms with what he has done, never to see his laughing face calling me Doris again (his little funny) breaks my heart to remember. :(

Have a good day all. Hope everyone is having a good weekend, no doubt busy by your absences. :sunny:

    Good morning everyone,

It's a nice sunny day again :sunny:

We went to the theatre last night to see Ballet Boyz. The dancing and choreography were excellent but the music was much too loud. If the dancing hadn't been so good I would have walked out. as it is, I sat there with my fingers in my ears - and got some funny looks from people :heehee:

I can put a picture here but you won't be able to see the fence as it's made of chicken wire. The bottom part, a rabbit fence, is 3ft high and has been there for years so we bolted 6ft posts to the original ones, ran another 3ft of wire along there and wired the two together. It goes along the back and then around the side a short distance. About 100ft in total.

In the foreground of the picture is the part of the veggie patch that has now been dug over, 6" of compost put on it and then covered with porous membrane.

Things are coming along well :dbgrtmb:

Got to get ready for my sister's party.

    Have a great day :D

      Good morning everyone,

Been busy this weekenmd trying to catch up with lots of things so havn't had much time to spend sitting at computers.:D

Shiney hope you enjoyed your self at your sisters 70th Birthday celebrations and that the music wasn't too loud not like the other night:D

Moyra, hope all goes well at the funeral today and make sure you wrap up warm if it is cold as there is nothing worse than feeling cold. You and your friends wife and family will never come to terms with the loss, you just have to take each day as it comes and you will know that you will never forget him and there will always be reminders:(It was the anniversary on Saturday of my best friends passing and i can't believe how quickly that year has flown:(

Loli,I was up early as well yesterday as I can never sleep in at weekends but glad in a way my weekend working days are long gone as I used to hate to have to go to work when i would have preffered spending the time being with Mr K:D

Well we didn't get the snow they forecast at the end of last week, just had windy cold weather but we are due some frosts this week which will at least kill some germs off hopefully:D

      Have a good day everyone:)

Hope you all enjoyed your sisters party Shiney:dancy:

      Good morning everyone,

It's fairly mild, very dry, not the slightest breeze and the sky is very pink but they say we have some heavy rain coming. Bring it on!! :heehee:

The party went well and I seemed to have the laughing a lot at my little speech. I hope that was because it was funny and they weren't laughing at me. :rolleyespink:

Moyra, I hope things go OK today.

Loli, everything always looks neat and tidy - for a short time after they've been done  - and then they gradually get messy again.

I thought that I'd finished writing my quiz but I tried it on some people that do quizzes and some of the rounds turned out a little harder than I wanted them. So I'll change a few of the questions.

Kandy, there wasn't any music at the party :dbgrtmb:. There was just good food, good company with lots of socialising, an excellent slide show of my sister's life (which she didn't know was going to happen) and a number of short funny speeches by friends and family.

Keep well and have a good day :D

Hello everyone. Yesterday's funeral was well attended. I would think there was well over 200 people there. Shows how well liked the man was. My son was distraught as were most of his closest friends. There is almost an anger rising in them now for what he has done. It just leaves me very sad as did the athiest funeral - it promised nothing for the future for anyone. :(

I hope everyone is ok as it has been rather quiet on here. Looks like Penny has been holding the fort on her own. Go girl!:sunny:

      Good evening everyone......

Yes Penny is still on the go....busy as usuall:dbgrtmb:

Moyra i understand your sadness...my father in law had an agnostic funeral and in my opinion i don't understand why they had a funeral at all:scratch:....i fully understand that we all have different beliefs....and i'm not a regular church goer but i do believe....it's a shame my inlaws/outlaws didn't have the same understanding as i got into trouble because i was saying my prayers and they weren't at all pleased....but to me why have a funeral in a place of worship if you don't believe:dunno:each to thier own i suppose....As we know there are many stages to bereavement, anger being one of them....it's bad enough under 'normal' circumstances so it must be even worse in your particular case....time will run it's course i suppose but untill then everyone needs to keep thier 'chin up' and deal with it as best they can.....not an easy task......

      wishing everyone well.......

        Good afternoon everyone,

I've just got in from bridge and shall be on my way again shortly.

The promised heavy rain didn't materialise :(. There's been a slight misty rain most of the day but it only seems to make the air wet.

        Have a good evening :D
