      Good morning everyone,

I seem to be quiet busy at the moment so haven't ogt a lot of time to spare to sit at the computer:D

Sorry to read that you have the dreaded lurgy Moyra, and hope you feel better soon.Nothing worse than feeling off colour.:(

Loli, hope the lads enjoyed their birthday cake and i bet it didn't last that long knowing what dogs are like.We do do some soppy things for our pets though:D

Penny sorry to hear you have not feeling too good yourself and hope you feel better soon:thumbsup:

Shiney,is Mrs Shiney doing another course or is still the same one she has been doing for the last twelve months?Hope you are feeling ok as well:thumbsup:

We managed to get over to the lottie on Saturday and we dug up the last of the carrots before the really bad winter sets in.Don't know though where we are going to store them all though but couln't leave them in the ground as the slugs have started to attack them from below ground:mad:

It is quiet frosty here this morning so will be out with the de-icer helping mr K get the windscreen clear. We used to run the engine to make the frost go but now the fuel has gone up yet again it is cheaper to use de-icer instead:D

      Enjoy your day everyone:)

        Good morning everyone,

It's a 'No' day today. No rain, no snow, no wind, no frost, no sun :heehee:

Well, the Leonardo exhibition was very good :dbgrtmb:. All in all, the day went well but Mrs Shiney was shattered by the end of it. She'd been working all last week, at college all day in London on Saturday, back at college again yesterday (no trains so I had to drive her up there early in the morning), after college she had to come by tube to meet us at Brick Lane for dinner (I had driven to the outskirts of London and taken the tube from there), rush off to Trafalgar Sq for our 8.30 p.m. timed visit at the Exhibition, spent a lot of time looking around it and got kicked out at closing time (10 p.m.), walked to Leicester Sq to get the Tube back to the outskirts and then drove home. Then she needed to relax and wind down so didn't get to bed until 1.30. This morning I've already taken her to the station and she's on her way back to college again. Phew! That's hard work for a little old pensioner :phew: :heehee: (Shhhhh! Don't tel her I said that! :nono:)

Kandy, She graduated the other week from that course and is now doing a post-grad course - same subject. :rolleyespink:

Loli, I am in fine fettle. It's just that some of the parts of my body don't know that's the condition that they're supposed to be in. My back is particularly ignorant of that fact :loll:

Going to have my breakfast now and then potter around.

        Have a great day :D

Hi Kandy glad you managed to get your carrots in before the worst of the weather comes.

Loli, I would really love my Amber to meet your boys, boy would they enjoy themselves.

Shiney, sounds like you had a good time yesterday, I am not surprised Mrs. S. felt shattered after all her studying and travelling can also be tiring too.

I am off to have a minor operation tomorrow. My doctor is going to cut out a fleshy lump that has come up on my back and then stitch it up. I shall be glad to get rid of it as I keep catching it on my bra strap and it bleeds like mad. So after tomorrow it should be ok. Does mean however I am back on the penicillin.

Take care everyone and have a good day. xxx:)

Moyra,Good luck with the op tomorrow and hope that everythng goes ok for you and that you will be in good health once more.:thumbsup:I know what you mean about catching things as I have started sprouting skin tags in various places although they are not large i sometimes catch them and they can be rather sore so your problem must be very painful:( Hope Steve and Amber are both ok:)

Shiney sounds like Mrs Shiney is going to be very busy once she gets all the new courses out of the way.Is this a year long one like the last one?A friend of ours in the village has just finished last Autumn his MBA but I can't remember what the initials actually stand for but his subject I think was something to do with engineering:D

Still bitterly cold here this afternoon so I am busy cleaning off the mud on all the carrots ready for storing, then will get the beef on for our dinner we are having tonight as we had stew and dumplings yesterday:)

Good morning, or night, everyone :D

I'm going to pop into bed for a couple of hours or so :thumb:. First time for three days.

Kandy, her course is a short specialised one related to the one she just graduated from.

        Sleep well :dbgrtmb:

        Good morning Shiney,

I hope you slept well

Not too badly, thank you :). I got a good couple of hours :heehee:

Still no snow, rain etc but it's pretty cold out there.

Just a normal day for me today. Something to sort out for Barry, a load of emails to respond to, a few phone calls, afternoon bridge club, renew library books and start organising things for the bridge club quiz and supper on Saturday. I've written all the questions and have now got to give everyone their jobs to do. Bossy boots! :heehee:

        Have a great day :D

Loli, the 'oldies' on here know that I rarely sleep much - about 2-3 hours a night. So a lot of the time I just have a doze in the armchair.

I was back again on here about 6 a.m. having a quick look through before dealing with emails.

        Have a great day :D

Kandy, I think the locum doc I saw in December thought that was all it was a skin tag but this has a core and I actually pulled some of it so I shall be glad to get it all out and done with. My Steve says it was a mole. So I guess it may be a hang over from my sun bathing days when I was young. Can't take hot sunshine now although I like to see the sun of course. Don't we all. Beginning to forget what it looks like, the snow is trying to settle here but it is so fine not sure whether much will come of it.

Shiney, I only cat nap at night spend the time listening to the radio instead. With Amber who insists on having her head next to mine it makes life difficult. But I love her so much I have to forgive her.

        Have a great day everyone.

        Good morning everyone,

Its warmer here today, but we did get some snow overnight, I've been out to shovel, so that's done.

Off to Toronto again today, was there yesterday, too.

        Hello Everyone,

4 local Anaesthetic injections - ouch and 9 stitches later I am all done. Stitches to come out Friday week. Should have been Wednesday week but that is the day I go for the laser work check up. I am having a job fitting all my appointments in. Lol. Still fingers crossed this is done and dusted for good. Lets hope the analysis comes back all ok. Well the snow never came to much thankfully.

        Have a good evening everyone.:)
