Loli, you sound like a girl after my own heart. Poor little chooks out there in the cold. Lol. The thing is as you say they huddle up together to keep warm. :)

Good middle of the day, everyone :dbgrtmb:

It's very cold but beautifully sunny and I've been clearing some leaves. I've got to go out later to get 10 8ft x 3 inch round posts to hammer in as supports. Tracy will do the hammering :love30: when she's here in a couple of weeks time.

I'm shopping around by phone and web first.

wish you lots better, Moyra

    Enjoy your day :D

A bit of professional advice - if you don't mind. :love30:

Colouring is fine but be careful you don't go too dark or too strong. As you get more mature your skin tone tends to get paler. So you need to be careful not to have too high a contrast between skin and hair. It, unfortunately, tends to make you look older. Softer and more subtle tones work better. :dbgrtmb:

I'm not really vain but my hair is like something you would stuff a matress with.....i think it's an age thing:WINK1: and after i've coloured it it's in lovely condition....i've spent a fortune on conditioners and serums etc....
Any advice you give is greatly apprehciated:love30:

Yes, I was a hairdresser - amongst many other things :heehee:

It's almost impossible to give advice without seeing the person but it's much easier to say what to be wary of if they ask the right questions. :dbgrtmb:

          Good morning everyone,

It's cold but very sunny again today.

I've just cut and coloured Mrs Shiney's hair and waiting for the colour to process. Then we'll be going off to the pub in a nearby village for a wrinklies lunch :heehee:

          Have a great day :D

          Good late morning everyone,:D

Still can't wake up in the mornings so running behind again. This will go on until the :sunny: mornings come back round and the birdies start their dawn chorus properly, and not the odd song from my Robbie:DI'm using me light box every day bit it doesn't seem to be doing much good at the moment

Moyra, glad that all went well with your minor procedure, but I expect you will be a bit tender for a few days but should soon heal.:)

Loli, you would have got on well with Rosa on here as she had really bright red hair and used to do it herself:D

Penny Happy Groundhog day to you as well:thumbsup:.Hope the snow stays away a bit longer for you but it looks like we might/might not get a sprinkling at the weekend:dancy:

Shiney, don't leave the colour on too long on Mrs Shiney's hair as we don't want it all to fall out:DEnjoy your old peoples meal out:)

Woo,nice to see you back posting again and hope you are keeping well:thumbsup:

It is bitterly cold here but at least the sun is shining so it's not too bad.We have to really wrap up warm when we go for our evening walk and glad that we invested in lined trousers as they keep our legs warm:heehee:Lots of stars out at the moment each evening and the dying star that we see every night looks good as do the planets:yess:

Just off to scarpe up some horsey poo that I have spotted on the path in the village.Don't want anyone getting it in their pram wheels or in the kids shoes. It is bad enough with the dog poo doing that:mad:

Hello everybody. Yes still somewhat sore. Steve couldn't believe it when I showed him my wound this morning. It is nearly three inches long but as I explained to him the doc had to take a slice out to make sure he got all the infected flesh and also to leave a nice clean line to stitch so that it would leave only a thin line of a scar. I think he is a good surgeon. Would have been difficult just to take a round lump out not easy to stitch up.

Shiney you never fail to amaze me the things you can turn your hands to. A very useful fella to have around. Has Barry moved into his new place yet?

Waves to lolli, Penny and Kandy, Hi girls. :)

Moyra, I'm pleased your recovering OK :dbgrtmb:.

I could almost do Mrs Shiney's hair with my eyes closed. Over the years I've trained over 100 hairdressers with many of them being quite successful :yess:.

Barry still hasn't been given a moving date as they're still doing things inside the flat.

              Good morning everyone,

Moyra, glad that the wound is neat looking but I wouldn't have thought it would be that long but I expect the surgeon was thinking to make it look neat and tidy in case you wear clothes that would show it up more.Just take it easy for a few daysxxxx

Shiney,i bet Barry's flat will look nice when it is finished and he should be nice and cosy once he has moved in:)

We had -3c frost last night and one weather station in the county says there is a 60% chance of us having snow this weekend so will see what happens:DI do feel sorry for those in Europe that have had more snow and those poor people who have to live on the streets froze to death. Not nice at all:(

              Have a good day everyone:)

              Good morning everyone,

It's cold and still out there and not yet a hint of the beautiful sunshine we've had over the last few days.

Moyra, I'm sure the scar will not be too noticeable. Many years ago I had a lump removed and the scar was four inches long. After a couple of years it was hardly noticeable. A good thing for scars is vitamin E - this is what a lot of specialist burns units use for healing. The best thing to do is buy the vit E capsules - which are vit E oil. Before swallowing it just gently bite the tip of the capsule and spread just a little of the oil on the wound. It helps to heal it quicker.

I've got about 300 miles of driving to do on Sunday so I hope the bad weather keeps off till then. :rolleyespink:

              Have a great day :D
