Hi Everyone, Thanks for the roses WOO. Lovely start to the day. Beautiful sunshine. When the sun comes out like this you can forgive the chill in the air.:sunny:

Shiney not sure Amber would actually dig the garden the way or where you wanted her to. As for spreading the mulch/compost etc I am afraid she might eat more than she spread!!

Have a great day everyone. :)

    Good morning everyone,

Its another rainy morning...but thats fine by me, with the rain that means no snow!!!!

Was supposed to go to Toronto today, but when Brad and i went out after supper lastnight, the truck was making a funny sound, so i am calling the Ford dealership to see if they can get me in today

    Good afternoon everyone,

Running a bit behind as I am still kitty sitting and then have been over the lottie leaf gathering as it is that time of the year again so don't have much time for computers.:D

Looking at the TV at the moment after the radio news gave out that the ex leader of Libya has been found and terminated so they are all jubilent so the news is going to be full of it tonight.I did say he would be found living down a hole:D

Shiney,we hardly have had any rain this last week and my water butt is getting low again and like you our borders are rock hard so Mr Kandy is havingto do the digging to get the Euchomis and Pelargoniums dug up and they are now in the greenhouse. No frost that was forecast though although we did get a good one last Saturday morning...

Hope everyone else is ok and I love the roses Woo :)

    :sunny: Good evening friends :sunny:

I haven't been around much as my days are taken up with swimming, slimming class, helping at both sons houses, taking MIL out - tomorrow afternoon I have been invites to little mans school to see something!

I hope everyone is well [I see you have had a bad chest Shiney] and not too cold. It has been really cold here today.

I had a nice surprise...my son and his partner are having a baby so little man will have a sister or brother next May.

Morning Everyone, WOO what is today's flower? It looks as if it may be a crocus of sorts but I am not sure. Have a good day my friend.

Shiney, expect you will be trying to finish that grass today before the rain comes. It is pretty cold at the moment but supposed to be warming up as the day progresses and will be a bit warmer tonight.

Kandy, you sorted that lottie yet? Much to do I expect. Take care.

Louis and Penny Hi and Jazmine congratulations on your latest news. Something nice to look forward to.

      Have a good day all.

      Good morning everyone,

The sun is just beginning it's morning glow on the tops of the trees whilst the pheasants are having their breakfast on the lawn - with Oscar calmy watching, and waiting for his breakfast, from his bench outside the kitchen.

Woo, thanks for today's flower  and for the reminder about Coleridge. I remember, in 1962, learning the Rime Of The Ancient Mariner whilst sitting on deck in the South Atlantic watching an albatross following us for days. I also learnt Kubla Khan but can't remember it very well nowadays . Coleridge lived for some time in the Lake District and his son, Hartley (I think), lived at Nab Cottage in a wonderful position overlook Rydal Water.

Jazmine, welcome back and congratulations on the news :dbgrtmb:

Moyra, no rain forecast for us today - or during the next 10 days.

I was talking to Tracey on Wednesday and she said that we have had only one day of rain in the last two months :rolleyespink:. She knows this from working outdoors all the time.

I managed to get some more mowing done yesterday and it's looking good. This morning is chiropractor day so shall be off there shortly.

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day as we are off to the big city for a private tour of the National Gallery. We have this once a year and it is led by a cousin of mine who is an art historian. It's only for family and friends and he picks a theme for his tour and explains all about the artists, paintings and history of the period. A lot of what he tells is not found in any guide books and is fascinating. Some of us then go to lunch somewhere interesting and we may even pick up some theatre tickets at the half price kiosk in Leicester Square. Of course, I have to be home in time for bridge in the evening :heehee:

      Have a great day :D

          Good morning everyone,

Woo, thanks for the lovely floral greeting :dbgrtmb:

I've put the sprinkler on one of our flower beds this morning as the plants are very droopy in this drought. I'll turn it off again before we venture off to the big city :)

          Have a great day :D
