A belated Good Morning. I have been out to get the E capsules Shiney recommended for my burns. I have put some on and lets hope it is working its miracle. I also took a capsule too......I take it it won't affect my diabetes. I also managed to buy two new lampshades the colour of the curtains I have ordered and the same colour as the paintwork on the doors throughout the flat, a jade green.

Shiney, I would love to come to your open day but not sure how to get there or whether my driving is up to it. I did make Tiptree last Thursday but I had company in my car I picked up in Rayleigh. When is the open day? I wont promise but I went down to Tesco's and the petrol station was empty so I put in the usual 20 litres that I fill up with when I do. So I should have enough petrol if I know where to come.

Shiney sounds as though you have been overdoing it with your back you must give it a rest soon. And Kandy your shoulders too sounds as though they need a bit of tlc too.

Loli, I don't blame you talking to your chooks and if it is good enough for Prince Charlie boy to talk to his plants why shouldn't we. I always have done. Did make me chuckle to read it though. P1000200.JPG

My little girl is 11 months on Thursday, cannot believe how quick that has gone.

Well have a good day all and here's hoping Penny and WOO are ok. Take care all.:)

      Good morning everyone,

Moyra, It's OK to take the capsules . Mrs Shiney takes one every day (so do I) and she's diabetic.
Amber is lovely. Give her a cuddle from me :doggieshmooze:.
If you do come (not until 26th and 27th May - http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/threads/special-invite-to-forum-members-2012.41845/ ) I shall give you detailed driving instructions - leaving out 'foot on brake, change gear etc' :heehee:. Let me know, roughly, where you live and I shall give you an idea of mileage and how long it would take.

Loli, I hope your journey is OK . I talk to everything in the garden, especially the birds and pheasants. The pheasants walk past me and look at me as though I'm mad! Spiders are always told to hurry up and get out of my way and, once the clover is in bloom on the lawn, the bees make the mowing take twice as long. I keep telling them to get out of the way but usually have to move them off the flowers by hand.

The interesting thing is when I'm pressure hosing. I think the honey bees love the very fine spray that floats around whilst I'm working. They always come around when I'm doing it and there are usually a few sitting on the coat I wear. :)

I've finished the pressure hosing so shall take it easy today :dbgrtmb:. I've got to go into town to help Barry with another form.

We had a little bit of drizzle last night and it is very sunny now.
Keep well and have a great day

Morning Everyone, Loli is sounds as though you picked the short straw weather wise, although saying that my water butt was empty yesterday morning and now it is back right up to the top. I reckon if I had a second butt alongside there might have been enough rain to fill that too. Still I think there is enough for me now because I have another butt just off the patio as well which will have gathered some more off the gazebo roof.

Shiney, yes nearer the time of your Open Garden I will give you a shout. I am East of Basildon, South of Wickford and just south of the A127. Glad you finished your pressure hosing. That's interesting that the bees like the spray, their spring wash!

Thanks for the tip on the E capsules Shiney they are doing wonders.:)

        Have a lovely day everyone.

If you're around Benfleet then you are 30 miles from us and it takes just over half an hour. We're 20 minutes from Chelmsford (one road all the way) and you have the fast route of the A130 to Chelmsford. :dbgrtmb:

Yes, I am only about 4 miles away from the A130 junction with the A127 so it shouldn't be a bad run. Is that the 414 that I would need to take from Chelmsford.
I'll sort it out nearer the time of your Open Weekend.

No, it's the A1060, signposted to Sawbridgeworth. It passes north of Writtle (Bananamanland :heehee: ) whereas the A414 passes south of it.

I shall have to look it up on the map. I don't possess any of those fancy talking direction machines. I look at a map, memorise it and take it from there.

Hasn't it turned bitterly cold. Time to get my faux fur deerstalker out again!:)

        Good morning everyone,

Its been soooooo busy here the past week, I feel like i've been gone more then i've been home, but i get paid well to drive, so thats not so bad.

Its cool here today, has been most of the week actually....i had to turn the furnace back on, it really dips down at night.

I have some AWSOME news:dancy: ....some of you will remember all the crap that we went through 5 1/2 years ago with our shop, and getting rid of the partner that Brad had.....we went $750 thousand into debt over this whole ordeal:hate-shocked: , and were given 10 years to pay it all back.....come June we will be done:hapfeet: !!!!!!!!!!!!! In just half the time, we have paid it back, and will be free and clear.....no more debt!!!!

              Good morning everyone,

Very sunny after a heavy frost. My back is easing up and I hope to get a bit of gardening done.

Mrs Shiney and I shall be going out soon to delivery some of her glassware to the gallery. Then on to do some shopping to get food for me to cook for the students.

              Have a great day
