    Good morning everyone,

The rain started around 8.00 this morning and has been raining on and off, not very hard at all, since then. The blackbirds have been loving it and our lawn is covered in them pulling worms and other thing out of the lawn. The pheasants quite sensible and are sheltering under the shrubs and trees.

    Love the chooks, loli :dbgrtmb:

Kandy, haven't heard about how woo is getting on

    Have a great day

Hi Everyone, late on parade again today. Steve said it wasn't going to be frosty again last night but I figured it was still cold enough for one so covered everything up again and I am glad I did. There was a cold wind chill factor too. Everything is doing well.

I hope WOO is ok as we haven't heard from him for ages. We still don't know if he has actually had his op or not yet and whether he is in recovery.

Enjoy the rest of your day everyone. Take care all.:)

Morning Everyone, Think it is going to be another showery day. Shiney are you still doing the rain dance because if you are can you now stop. Either that or can you lend me your rain defence shields so I can have some nice dry weather here. Glad I got the lawns cut before this set in!

Hope everyone is ok. Have a good day everyone and stay safe!:)

    Good morning everyone,

Moyra, I removed the shields the other day and we have had some rain - but not a lot. By lunchtime yesterday it was sunny again and, today, we've had half an hour of rain. That's better than nothing.

Lots of paperwork to do today.

    Have a great day

Light showers on and off but I'm here in the warm and working at paperwork. Retuned my TV (Freeview) and made up a chart of all the programmes and channels.

Got a nice piece of rack of lamb for myself (Mrs Shiney is veggie) and it was on special offer of £6 per kilo. Tonights piece cost £1.24 :dbgrtmb:

    Don't get too wet!

Good Morning everyone, not sure why I am saying Good perhaps because I am wishing you all a good one. It is pretty lousy here. I have uncovered all the plants but had to walk Amber in the rain. Gets a bit miserable day after day. I just don't understand how the south of the county can have so much rain when you up there on the north west corner of the counter gets very little. Ironically, Gt. Wakering just down the road a few miles is supposed to be the driest place in the country leastwhile it was I don't see why that should change. My lawn is really squelchy I find it hard to walk on it like it.

My curtains finally turned up this morning and I am not sure I like them or not.....methinks perhaps they are going to get returned. I'll have another look at them and perhaps feel the material before I do. Just think they are too green and not enough Jade. They are called Green Alpine and in the book looked like Jade oh well never mind. Back to the start and go shopping locally probably.

    Have a good day everyone.:)

This morning was sunny but the rain came in about 12.30. It was light rain for about 30 minutes than sunny for an hour and then the heavens opened :dbgrtmb:. Thanks for sending it our way, Moyra :). Unfortunately it only lasted for less than an hour but it has been light rain on and off since then.

    The garden is loving it.:dancy:

On my way back from town I was in a queue of traffic moving at about 20 mph when, suddenly from under the car in front, a chunk of wood came tumbling. I couldn't avoid it and it has ruined one tyre - the side wall is bulging. I've ordered another one and it will be fitted tomorrow - £198 :gaah:

I'm not a happy bunny

    Enjoy the evening

Morning Everyone, Glad you did get some of the rain I sent over Shiney. Didn't stop me from getting very wet lunchtime walking Amber. Still I did manage to walk her first thing and again in the evening and keep reasonably dry! That was terrible about your tyre Shiney and of course there is nobody to go to for redress I suppose.

Hope Kandy and Mr. K are ok and Lolli and her boys and girls, wish we could hear something from WOO. Take care everyone and have a good day. The sun is shining here. Yippee. I have some washing to put out and then to walk Amber in the sunshine.:)

    Good morning Moyra and everyone,

Moyra, thanks for the rain :dbgrtmb:. It's lovely and sunny here this morning as well. Unfortunately, the piece of wood didn't have a name and address on it!

I hope we have the sun tomorrow, especially at lunch time. Mrs Shiney is running a 'Health At Your Fingertips' seminar all day in the summerhouse. The summerhouse is normally kept just for us and our friends but she thought it would provide a bvetter atmosphere than in the house. That means that they will have to walk backwards and forwards across the patio for lunch. It'll be hot and cold buffet - main course and dessert. The other option is for me to lay it out on a table in the porch of the summerhouse, but the hot food may not stay hot for long.

I'll see whether the edges of the lawn are too soggy for me to work on them today. I've been getting on pretty well with them so far.

    Have a great day

    Good late afternoon everyone....
Sorry about the tyre Shiney....hope you've got it fixed:dbgrtmb: it's a good job you were only moving slowly,it doesn't bear thinking about if it was on a faster road.....but you are ok thats the main thing:blue thumb:
A perfect warm spring sunshiney day is on order for Mrs Shineys seminar:SUNsmile:
Moyra i don't know about you but i've had a kitchen floor covered in dog blankets for a couple of days....just when you think they have settled down they want to be out in all the wet again....have you decided on your curtains yet....it really annoys me when the colours aren't what they say they are.....i did the same with some bedding ,in the brochure it was duck egg blue but they were actually green:rolleyespink:
Wishing the Kandysand pennys well and ofcourse the Woo's...i do hope he is on the mend......
I've got 4 days off :yahoo:...we've been forecast lots of rain for the weekend but i've plenty to get on with in the greenhouse...can't wait:hapydancsmil:
    Have a good evening everyone:SUNsmile:

Shiney, did you get that thunderstorm and hailstones. I just got everything covered up in time getting quite wet in doing so.

Lolli yes plenty of large bath towels and Amber knows now as soon as I come out with them its on the floor on her back and mum rubs her belly and legs clean and dry. She loves it. I have done the three walks today managing to miss the rain thankfully. How do you manage the two at once. Do the get jealous of each other getting the attention.

I think we are in for another we couple of days over the weekend. So have a good one everybody!:)
