    Good morning everyone,

Have been very busy this last week and due to joint pians havn't felt like spending time on the computer.I shall be glad when we get some nice hot weather as it will do my bones some good and my figers won't stiffen up so much:snork:

    Shiney,that is a lot of money for a new tire,although i know on our car they are expensive to buy.A bit of a rip off all round me thinks:eeew: We have just had to have some work done on our car to keep us roadworthy and we thought that £505.32 was a bit steep:frown: I have also had a letter from the DVLA to say that my driving license photo is about to expire so can i please cough up another £20+ cost of photo so I am able to carry on driving.{£1,000 fine if i fail to get one:eeew: }

Moyra, hope that you and Amber are well and that in the end the curtains turn out ok and that you don't have to send them back.I expect it is hard work trying to keep Amber clean when the rain comes. We used to have the same problem when we had our dog:snork:

Loli, hope you enjoy your days off and that you manage to get outside and get things done, although if you have more rain like what is being forecast it will scupper things, although your chooks will probably end up growing webbed feet:biggrin:

Anyway,we have had some rain over the last few days but at least I managed to get the lawns mowed before it came and my broadbeans that I sowed in boxes are now shooting so we are going to have to use boards across the plot when we come to plant them out as the ground is so wet:snork:

Don't know about anyone else but we have noticed that the Swallows and House Martins are late coming back this year as they are normally back from Africa by now so something seems to have gone wrong for them:scratch:

    Have a good day everyone:smile:

Good morning all my friends hope that everyone is OK,I have a pre OP assessment on the 21st May just see if I am fit enough for the Operation,so I guess the operation will be after that.Since the changeover half the site is.nt working for me ,I have nothing on the left hand side of the page, and although I have a speed of 100 broadband the site is extremely slow and cannot get a full size photo on GC,But many many thanks for all my friends who have been asking after me,from the bottom of my heart.:)

      Good morning Kandy and everyone,

Kandy, sorry to hear about aches and pains and hope you feel better soon. They are big tyres on my car and some of the places raound here wanted £250 :hate-shocked:. I didn't know driving licence photos went out of date . I still have the old paper licence but it expires soon  . I don't know whether I have to take another test but I'll soon find out. :heehee:

So far today it has been beautifully sunny - and I've been stuck in the kitchen. There were 14 of them for a hot and cold buffet and they're just having a cuppa now. I'll have a quick bite and then do the clearing and washing up.

      Have a great day

      Good luck, Woo!
I was not aware you were undergoing any pre-treatment testing. Whatever it is, I keep my fingers crossed!

WOO, lovely to see you and to catch up on what's happening re your operation. Lets hope the assessment goes ok then and hopefully you wont have too long after that before they get round to operating and putting you back on the road to health. You take care and look after yourself.

Shiney, hope all things are going well with the gathering you have there today. Sounds like you have it all in hand. Hope its measured a great success.

Kandy, some days you just wish your limbs would drop off when they pain you so much you have my empathy. I am struggling with Amber she is getting bigger and stronger and I am finding it more and more difficult to hold her back from wanting to charge ahead. Trouble is my legs just wont go as fast as she wants to move. I am forever chiding her to walk nicely and not to pull.

Been dodging the showers again today, not so bad as yesterday! Have a good afternoon and evening everybody. :)

Glad the function all went well Shiney. Yes, I am afraid Amber has worn me out today but like her I enjoy getting out in the air anyway so it is no hardship for her to keep nagging me for a walk. Think she is due for her 4th walk of the day in a little while and she will tell me when!!:doggieshmooze:

Oh Woo,really lovely to 'see' you....:dbgrtmb:We are all thinking of you and wishing you well...you'll be back on track just in time for the roses coming out:wub2:
Moyra i know exactly what you mean....Mr L can take Archi and Theo out on his own but i can't....they are still quite boisterous but i'm hoping one day soon i'll be able to manage them both on my own...when our Duggleby was a pup i used to get quite frustrated when he pulled but i remember thinking to myself ... he'll be slowly walking behind us one day and sure enough my lovely old boy did:cry3:So now when i feel myself getting cross with these two mad jacks it makes me stop and think....
Kandy i hope your joints will feel easier soon,we need some warm weather for you, take it easy:dbgrtmb:
Shiney ...so you got the sunshine i ordered...really pleased all went well:dbgrtmb:...
I don't know where all these seedlings are coming from..i don't remember sowing this many:heehee:....
Oh well back to pricking out:phew:
      Have a good night everyone.....

Nice to see you again Woo after so long and hope that everything goes ok for you in the future and you are soon back to full health ready for the summer:wub2:

Shiney Moyra and Loli,I only find the stiffness in my joints is a problem in the winter months and will improve greatly in the hotter weather:snork: although on Friday when i was changing the batteries{DD size} in my radio one of them slipped out of my hand and fell onto my foot and the pain was excruciating{sp}and nearly had me in tears:eeew:

Moyra, have you ever considered a Holti{sp}for Ambers pulling? We had to get one for our Tina when she was young as she was nearly pulling my shoulder out of it's socket although she didn't like it and used to rub her snout on our legs to get it off it did stop her from pulling.:snork: :doggieshmooze:

Penny hope your eye has now healed and everything is back to normal for you.:blue thumb: It sounds like you are both quiet busy at the moment but that is good when you run your own buisness:smile:

I have already been out litter picking and got another bucket full and so our part of the village looks nice again and i have just finished my porridge and cuppa so once Mr Kandy has finished his computer stuff for work we might be going over to the lottie as we need to get things done before we go on our walkabout:snork:

Have an enjoyable Sunday and enjoy Google and the Marathon today

      Good morning Kandy and All,
Take it steady down the lottie Kandy and hope You and Mr K enjoy your walk:dbgrtmb:
We have lots of birds nesting in the garden this year:yes:we have to keep an eye on the fledglings though because if the chooks see them all hell breaks loose:mad: and just this morning Mr Crow decided to go nest robbing and thought he'd leave his left overs on the lawn....a beautiful plump blackbird chick with it's head missing :hate-shocked:...now this part of nature i do not like....
Back in the GH i go :rolleyespink: ...i just need a duvet and kettle in there and i might aswell move in:heehee:....i'm loving every second:hapydancsmil:
      Have a lovely day everyone:SUNsmile:

      Morning Everyone.

Shiney, enjoy your trip to Bournemouth. Hope the weather stays nice as it is now and it will be lovely down there on the front.

Kandy, I did buy Amber a halter but it lays in the drawer she didn't want to know I'm afraid. Perhaps I should have insisted but I hate making anyone miserable least of all my beautiful pet.

Lolli, I picked up the remains of a blackbird's egg in the garden, no evidence of its content though and I was wondering if it was as a result of a magpie raiding the blackbird's nest. When I got further along the road on Amber's walk later in the day I saw another one near the rookery so not sure who is to blame but the poor old blackbird seems to be getting the rough treatment.

Have a lovely day everyone and good gardening on the lotties!:)

      Good morning everyone,

We had a good day yesterday :dbgrtmb:. A very easy drive in beautiful sunshine. We did the 144 miles in 2hrs 10mins as it was motorway almost all the way there. Whilst we had lunch it started pouring with rain but after lunch the sun came out. The only live 2 minutes walk from the front so we went for a nice walk along the front and through the gardens. The drive back was just a few minutes quicker with only a short stretch in the rain. When we got home we found it hadn't rained at all.

Today is very sunny so I'll go out and do a little work but I'll take it easy as I've had quite a bit of trouble with my bad knee and back during the last few days.

      Have a great day
