Thanks Shiney, lets hope it is not as bad as the forecast. Jenny I haven't looked at the local forecast for the Basildon area which where I usually look as it is the nearest large place to me. Think I will go and do that now. Think I may bring my tobacco plants in anyway its only a tray of them.

    Good afternoon everyone,
Even though i'm up early for work ....where does the time go:dunno: by the time i've sorted the dogs out and the chooks AND Mr Lolimac the time has whizzed by...and now an extra job.......wrapping and unwrapping the seeds in the GH......this unpredictable weather is wearing thin......don't remember having to faff around this much in previous years...
I hope everyone is ok....keep wrapped up and warm ,sounds like we are in for some cold nights......remember to put the bed socks on the seeds:dbgrtmb:

Lolli I know what you mean seems an awful lot faffy around on fleecing them and unfleecing them morning and night. Hopefully a few more weeks and we can relax, says she more than hopefully?

Been a shiny wet patio day all day here Loli. I'm eyeing up that little Christmas pudding under the stairs that was supposed to be kept for next winter. Got a feeling ITS COMING OUT this week end with some good cream and brandy butter. Apologies , this rotten weather draws me to comfort eating mode.....:nonofinger:

          Good morning everyone,

Have woken up to a lovely dry day and the kitties are all set to go on their holidays:yes:

Shiney, the art museum day out sounds very interesting if your cousin explains so much about the artist and the background behind each piece of work:smile: Hope Mrs Shiney is well and that she is still enjoying working with glass and the visits from the students:smile:

Moyra,I find with Fartformin that if i eat a meal with too much fat content then it has a horrible effect on me and i have to visit the loo which i hate because throwing up is my worst nightmare.I don't know how people can do that on purpose:eeew:

Loli,we are off to sunny Minehead as there is a Caravan Club site there and on Monday we are going to see my sister and her hubby in Devon before she goes and has her bunion op next Friday. If we get any rain then we will hopefully be visiting to NT properties or might hop on the steam train. Here is the weather forecast for us for next week so good job I have packed some shorts :snork: http://www.weather-forecast.com/locations/Minehead/forecasts/latest

Loli,I hope we don't have any frosts as i have put all my greenhouse plants down the side of the shed so hoping they will be sheltered. Also I don't want my early spuds coming through the soil at the lottie as they will get knocked back:gaah:

Jenny hope you enjoy that Christmas pud especially if you have some nice brandy sauce/butter with it:biggrin:

Anyway, we are all but paced up and i managed to get tot he lottie yesterday and picked Mr Kandy some rhubarb plus some tops off of my nine star plant which we had for dinner last night. It was sad to see old Bills plots all full of veggies and flowers which he loved to grow not to mention the fruit trees that are full of blossom:cry3: I have decided that when i pop me clogs it is going to be in the winter months when all the crops have been harvested then i won't have worked the land for nothing:snork:

          Enjoy your day everyone:smile:

            Good morning everyone,

Kandy, have a really great holiday  :dbgrtmb:

I'm not sure what sort of day we shall have as it's still dry but very overcast. I want to get some work done in the garden. I can't cut the laurel hedge as there are some birds nesting. I hope they are out of there before Open Day because it has to be cut.

Instead of cutting the hedge I think I'll cut Mrs shiney's hair instead. :heehee:

Everyone, look after yourselves and have a great day

            Hi Everyone,

Kandy I shall remember what double cream does to me in future. Won't fall for that one twice. Ok for you Jenny no diabetes there I hope. I do hope you have a lovely holiday in Devon and that the weather turns nice for you Kandy.

Shiney, I really want to cut my grass but it is just too sodden to go out there. Hope your birds fledge soon so you can cut your hedge. I hope you don't cut Mrs. S' hair like a hedge. :nonofinger: Must sort the fleece out again for tonight it has been nice having a few nights when I haven't had to bother. Think the tobacco ought to come indoors. They really want potting on but I am still awaiting the pots. Greenfingers tell me they are on their way!

Lolli hope your boys and girls are all ok. its a lot to look after. I am looking after a couple of young fox cubs and their mum at the moment as well. Amber chased them down the car park last night. I put out some sweet corn we didn't eat and they have left it. Must be getting fussy they don't turn down Ambers food.

            Have a good day all.:)

Kandy...have a lovely holiday:hapydancsmil:we go caravaning too and love it:dbgrtmb:there are some lovely sites and we really should get organised as they soon
            get booked up.....
Is Mrs Shiney going for a sphere or a pyramid cut Shiney:heehee:
Aw Moyra ...how lovely....i love foxes....i know they like sausage rolls:biggrin:
Hope your foot is improving Jenny:dbgrtmb:
I'm popping to a friends house tonight...a few of us 'girls' are having a catch up.....the only problem is i love talking plants and all things gardening but they love talking about their escapades round the town, the things they get up to would make your hair curl:hate-shocked: ......we do have a good laugh though....i can assure you i'm not a complete bore....been there done that but i preferre a quieter life these days:WINK1:my candle has been well and truly burnt at both ends:biggrin:
Have a good evening everyone...Keep warm and dry:SUNsmile:

Hi Loli. Foots fine -had it first full soak today and then loadsa moisturiser. I have potted on the Maskotka toms . They have become spindly giants. Probably too warm indoors and craning their necks looking out for sunshine: they wish.....
Have a grand night out but I know what you mean about liking the quieter, simpler life.
I'm just roasting blanched peanuts to make peanut butter. I know I ought to be at the stove making cabbage broth but the comfort eating signals are too strong!

              Good morning everyone,

Many thanks for your good wishes for the holiday wishes and i must say this break is well needed:snork:

Shiney, did you hear that a rich Ozzie has commissioned the building of Titanic2 and the maiden voyage is set for 2016? so I had better start saving although i expect that even steerage priced tickets will be expensive but as it will be a replica of the original it would be fantastic to travel on it:hapydancsmil:

Moyra, even if it pees down all week we shall enjoy it as it is much needed. We dabated about cancelling it because of the weather but if we stay here we shall spend the whole week doing DiY or working at the lottie so for us it is better that we go away.Hope you and Amber have some decent weather so you can get some nice walks in:smile:

Loli,we enjoy the van and as the modern ones have heating in them plus a decent cooker it is home from home. The only problem we are finding is that a lot of the sites have their weekends blockbooked so now are finding it hard to get away at weekends something which we are keen to do at times.

Jenny the peanut butter sounds nice.I like to eat it but never thought of making my own.You will have to put the recipe in the thread so we can all have a go at making it:blue thumb:

Anyway,I'm just off to have breakfast and finish off the last few bits and will be off and as the sun is shining i think the weather is about to change:snork:

I'll see if I can pop back at times as the sites nowadays all have wi fi and we always take the lappie so we can store our photos on it and then we sit and have a slideshow when the weather gets iffy:biggrin:

              Have a good weekend everyone:smile:
