    Hi Penny,

No haven't seen any new Ice Road Truckers from Peru but no doubt will watch avidly although the Indian one kept making me feel ill every time they showed the long drops from the edges:eeew: I shall tell Mr Kandy when he gets in so he can look into when it might be on.They usually show it on a Friday evening when it comes round.

There was another trucker programme on here a few months back where four teams of two from different countries had to drive trucks with different loads across all those different terrians,India,Australia etc and there was a big prize for the winner which was the English guy so not sure if they would show it on your television channels.

I am surprised you are not over here this year as it is our Queens Diamond Jubilee as I know you liked watching when William and Kate, ooops Katherine got married last year:smile:

Absolutely....Mr Kandy will like this one, the roads are beyond belief, they call them the "death roads" and they truely are!

Check out the roads around 2:26 into it:hate-shocked:

I found this for you to look at....:WINK1:

No....no England this year, we were seriously thinking about it:blue thumb: , but we have University tuition for one daughter, and my youngest daughter is getting married in September, so alot to pay for in the next few months.

Honestly though...i know there will be crowds when we do come over, but competing with them for the Jubilee or the Olympics, doesnt interest me at all.

So the plan is September 2013:dancy:

Copying the link, it wouldnt let me shorten it....so if one of you Mods want to work your magic, go ahead:WINK1:

        Hi Penny,
I have just watched the trailer and it looks like it is going to be a good series so will have to watch out for it so we don't miss any although they are usually good at advertising the shows:snork:

Here is that series we watched and i am not sure how much time you have spare to watch them and I assume you will be able to see them over in Canada through the power of the internet if you get i player?

Hope all the wedding clebrations go off ok and good that you help put your children through University so that they can get on and have a better life for themselves.

Morning Everyone, Put a box of that feed and weed granules around my grass yesterday in the hope that it would rain. Would it rain, no of course not when you want it. So this morning I have emptied my water butt with watering cans and watered it all myself. It is not really enough to soak in so I may have to resort to filling my butt up again and then watering can it round the garden again. Maybe it will rain later, it really is 'S*ds law'.:love30: I'll keep praying for a drop of rain anyway. Then perhaps we can get on with summer, don't want much do I?

          Have a good day all.:)

          Good morning everyone,

It didn't rain yesterday but drizzled last night. Now it's bright and warm and I've done a bit out there already. I reckon that today I may finish all the edges and I'll cut some edges around the blackberry bushes. The grass should be dry enough by this afternoon to get the mower out.

Forecast is rain tomorrow and then sunny for the rest of the week - I hope they're right.

The Aquilegias still haven't opened properly but a week of warm weather may do it.

Got a bit of shopping to do this morning but don't like to do it on Saturdays.

Keep well and have a great day

          Good morning everyone,

We have just got back from grocery shopping as it is raining so thought we would get that out of the way:biggrin:

Moyra,is your lawn weed and feed the granula sort as we always put ours down and then leave it 48 hours as per the instructions and if it hasn't rained by then, then we water it in.My friend did hers the other month in the rain before she went away and wondered why the weeds didn't die off so surly she must have wasted her money:scratch:

Loli, I managed nearly three hours at the allotment yesteday and it was so nice i had my shorts on but now today we have rain so our plans to get the canes up and the beans out has been scuppered.:eeew: Sounds like you are going to be quiet busy today with all what you have planned so take it easy, says she who always over does things:snork:

          Enjoy your day everyone:smile:

Kandy, I read as if it has not rained within 48 hours water it in. But I took it to mean that it really needs to be watered in before that ideally.........it's always worked with me watering it in before but of course you have to be careful not to wash it away! 7.30 and time to take Amber for her first walk.

Anyway I walked Amber and then got some washing out on the line and decided to make a start on painting my bedroom. I managed to pull the wardrobe out nearly killing myself in the act. Washed down the walls and paintwork behind it and then put a fresh coat of paint on the walls. Managed to push and shove it back into position and pulled some other units out next to it and under the window. Managed to paint over and above the window and below and get the curtains back up. I washed them recently so there was no need to do them again. At that point Steve came home and stopped me doing anymore. So I took Amber for her lunchtime walk, came back and went and laid down on the bed and slept for an hour or two........woke up cooked some fish and chips and took Amber for another walk..........and that brought me back to the pc and answering my e-mails etc. I think I must have needed that sleep this afternoon. Will resume the decorating tomorrow.

Shiney, I am not sure whether I shall get to you on the 26th am still hoping to but will depend whether Steve is here to look after Amber or not. I shall need some directions please if I am to make it.

          Good morning everyone,

Moyra, I hope you can make it :dbgrtmb:. The forecast for the weekend is good. :dancy:
It must be satisfying to get all that painting done (I hate painting) but be sure to give yourself a rest. :snooze:

I got lots done in the garden. Edged another 80ft, mowed all the lawns :phew:, started removing the bindweed, goose grass, chick weed and loads of ash saplings from the beds as they have just decided to grow like mad, swapped over the winter hanging baskets with the summer hanging baskets (a lot harder than I thought ). Mrs Shiney did loads of potting on, sowing of seeds, tidying up and planted 50 bean plants.

If the, forecast, rain keeps off for a while I need to get all the edges of the lawns trimmed (probably do it twice more before Open Day), and put up some more bean canes.

Keep well and have a great day

Thanks Shiney and Lolli. It is back to the painting again today. Going to do it slowly a bit at a time. It is the last room in the flat to be done. Moving the wardrobe and units was one thing, moving my bed will be another. It is one of those heavy lift up cavity underneath things and of course the cavity underneath is crammed full with stuff as there is very little storage space in this flat. Must start calling it an apartment. I saw a girl on Dale Winton's lottery show say she lives in a flat but it sounds so much more upmarket to call it an apartment!

Hopefully when I come Shiney to open day I have some very nice books on computers that are now out of date for me but somebody might find them useful so I will bring them along for you to sell.

Right painting here I come. Have a good day all.

          Good morning everyone....
Well Mr L got the path almost finished down the side of the house yesterday but we just need a few more bricks...then a bit of new turf to finish the edge of the lawn off...looks alot nicer:dbgrtmb:
I'll be back at it again in the garden today....in between cooking the lunch....
Don't forget the preview of Chelsea flower show is on tonight...i'm looking forward to that...:hapydancsmil:I may be mistaken but i'm sure the Caravan club garden is the one Boghopper has been working on so i'll be even more interested in that one...
          Enjoy your day everyone....Take care:SUNsmile:

Painting half way round the bedroom, the worst bit left to do. Watered my grass area again to get the feed and weed going. Still could do with a good rain. I might not be able to make Shiney's next Saturday as Steve has said he has to work and obviously I cannot leave Amber alone all day. Oh damn, hope Steve can reorganize his day. I shall worry about it nearer the day!:doggieshmooze: but I cannot leave my baby on her own.
