    Good morning everyone,

My congratulations to them as well. Queenie looked like she was tiring a bit at the end but Phil seemed to be doing very well.

I hope the weather improves as we have to go to some celebrations. They've told us we'll be amongst the VIP's  so can't get out of it

    Have a great day

Good morning everyone. Shiney hope you have a good 'do' today then as VIPs should be good, hope the rain holds off for you.:)

Hope everyone else enjoys whatever they are doing today.:rolleyespink: Steve hasn't gone fishing yet he was supposed to go before 6 this morning but he has been in and out of the loo since about quarter past five this morning. Poor thing. He seems to have problems with dairy products by the look of things.:frown:

The trouble is that I think the VIP's can't run away if the weather turns really bad :hate-shocked:

    Morning everyone,

Its still cool here, and rained all night, its stopped for now, so if it holds I'll cut the grass.

Have some errands for Brad this afternoon, and off to Toronto tomorrow.

    Have a great day all.

    Good morning everyone,

It was a tiring day yesterday. We were supposed to be on site for a 2.45 p.m. unveiling of a new fancy weather vane, specially designed and built for the Jubillee, but missed it by a few minutes. We had planned our journey quite carefully in order to get us there with plenty of time. Unfortunatel, we didn't take into account that someone would throw themselves under a train .

Once there, we had a good time. :dbgrtmb:

Although the predicted rain kept off, and we had some sunshine, it got pretty cold at times. Fortunately, being VIP's :heehee:, we had the hospitalty of the mayor's marquee (including hot and cold buffet and drinks ) so were able to spend the colder times in there. We were with some friends but, by complete coincidence, we met an actress friend who was there with Henry Kelly and some other celebs and made up a bigger group. He's a really nice person :dbgrtmb:.

There was lots of live music with many bands from military, school and through to rock. also side shows and etc. All finishing with a good fireworks display and singing of songs (Land Of Hope And Glory etc - like a mini last night of the Proms) before the scheduled lighting of the beacon.

What a terrible thing to happen. These sort of weekends do emphasize the loneliness of some people or the troubles between couples that are already there seem to get to a head and end in tragedy for the few and they are so caught up in their troubles they give no thought to the inconvenience to others.

So sorry it delayed all your journey so carefully planned. It is what you can never forsee but particularly annoying when you were one of the VIPs. But it seems to have gone off ok after that and hopefully you had a good time. Nice photo's Shiney.

      Enjoy your day today everyone.:)

      Good morning everyone,

Its still a little cool here, and we had more rain overnight, calling for a sprinkle today.

I'm off to Toronto in awhile, so have a great day everyone.

            Morning everyone,

Its warmer here today, but overcast.....it may rain after lunch but I think I'll water this morning anyway.

I'm more or less home today, have a couple deliveries for Brad around lunch, need to go to the grocery store though.

            Have a great day everybody.
