Shiney, the water table is quite high now and there doesn't seem any end to the rain coming down.

Kandy hope you enjoy your celebrations with Mr. K's rellies. and Penny do take care in all that snow. The only thing you can do in this weather is hibernate apart from walking the dogs and seeing to the other critters to make sure they are all fed and comfortable.

    Take care all. God bless.

I've just come in from raking soggy leaves from some of the flowerbeds. I filled up two wheelie bins (barrows are full up at the moment) and have used them to cart them to the compost heaps. There's enough to fill the bins again but I can't do any more bending at the moment.

It's mild and dry and some of the flooded parts of the garden are no longer flooded. :blue thumb:

Perhaps, but loli is thinking 2-stroke oil, not 4-stroke ... so may not suit your "requirements"

Yes suffice to say, I had a blooming great nights sleep, and did not want to get out of bed this morning.:snooze:

OH thinks its a good idea to buy the mattress topper! so, off we go to Dunelm's on Saturday, see what they have in the sales.

Not done too much today, so will get my skates on, on Saturday, and start the next lot of Spring cleaning, and I am itching to get a few seeds ready for putting in my propagator.:yahoo:
Had 4 seed catalogues in the post today, plus my monthly gardening magazine, which came with 6 pkts of free veg seeds, oh, I'm in seed heaven! :yay:

Picked some cabbage today for lunch, and it tasted soooo goood.:stirpot:

              Have a good evening everyone.

              Aloha everyone,

Good morning woo, on this lovely dry day. :blue thumb:

Although it's a mild, dry morning the strong wind is making it feel colder but, having been working hard at raking, I'm feeling quite warm now. :dbgrtmb: I've done my gardening for today and filled up the bird feeders.

We've just issued an impromptu invitation to friends to come round this evening for dinner. So I'm now planning on cooking an Indian meal from what I have lying around in the kitchen. We'll have popadoms with kachumber and home made mango chutney, followed by a chicken Dhansak (I've got some fresh chicken thigh fillets in the fridge) and an Aloo Ghobi Mattar Bhaji (potato, cauli and peas cooked with spices) plus rice. I might also do a chickpea curry.

Now that I've got my salivary glands going, I think I'll have a second breakfast :heehee:

Keep well and have a great day

              Aloha Everyone,

Have been busy making up more half coconuts for the birds. Had to take time out to go and buy yet another sack of wild bird seed. Boy they sure get through the stuff.
Yes Loli, nice to get the towels washed and dry again and today being dry here has given us a break for a change, she has come indoors clean each time today. :doggieshmooze:
Brilliant. That was terrible out in the cold and bitter wind tonight for walking Amber, not very nice at all even if it was dry,.

Just had Spagetti Bolognaise for our dinner. Very nice too. Now to relax for a wee while.

              Aloha!:wub2:

Moyra, I'm pleased it stayed dry for you :blue thumb:. It started peeing down here a little while ago.

I'm just about to start on making the curries :dbgrtmb:

              Evening all,:)

Not been able to log on earlier, power cut for the past 2 hours!

Been busy today putting my seeds in order, and putting it all on my computer files.

Made a lovely beef casserole with red wine, carrots and butter beans. Canaroli rice with peas from my garden. Can't wait to have it again tomorrow.:yay:

Must go, Mrs Brown Boy's on TV.

              God Bless. :doggieshmooze:
