@CanadianLori ....just had a thought. Do you mean the Word Association thread that has just started up again? If you are finding the alerts annoying then just go on the thread and click on Unwatch thread, you then won't get any more. :dbgrtmb::dbgrtmb: Come back please!

I believe Lori is talking about all the Games threads which you cannot block out from coming up in today's posts. This has been an issue in the past. Using a laptop I can quickly scroll down to avoid them but I don't believe you can do that on a mobile unit. If someone really does have a way to block out certain threads, I for one would like to know!

        Please don't leave @CanadianLori. xx

Oh, and Good Morning.jpeg everyone ... have a lovely day.

Oh dear... You only get personal alerts for threads you have posted in and if you allow alerts in your profile one you have posted..

Otherwise they obviously come up in new posts if people are playing them... The same as any other posts..

Just scroll on by and just ignore the alerts @CanadianLori if you don’t want to play, you don’t have to look at the posts if you don’t want to.

The Games section has been around for as long as GC has and as autumn and winter come along people take more of an interest in the games threads.. :spinning:

              Aloha everyone,

              It's raining! :yahoo:

Hi @CanadianLori you say you use the 'Spy' facility. I tried that once and immediately turned it back off again. In my opinion it's the most annoying and useless facility (apologies to those who use it :love30:) and had things popping up all the time that I had not the slightest interest in.

When I log on I go directly to 'Watched Threads' so only get the ones I'm interested in. Then, if I have time, I go to 'New Threads' and find it easy to find any I may be interested in and ignore the others. That way I make the board work for me. :blue thumb:

As usual I'm off to the afternoon bridge club today and may take along a load of Wisteria chinensis for sale. Mrs Shiney sowed the seeds only three months ago and they're 2ft high already. They usually take about three years to flower but the flowers are the very long ones, about 24", and are white.

Keep well and have a great day

              Aloha!

                Morning everyone!
Had some lovely downpours this morning, but the skies have now brightened up.

Paying the price of my Spring cleaning and am laid up with an iron rod for a spine and in severe pain and at the moment I can hardly walk. I must get better quickly as on Thursday my Dad has an urgent hospital appointment and I am to push the wheelchair!!
Take care everyone and have a great day:)

Thanks @moyra and @wiseowl . Still in bed resting as it's too painful to attempt standing let alone walking. Soon to take a 2nd lot of painkillers so fingers crossed that should make it a little bit easier. To make matters worse it now looks lovely outside and I so want to continue with my border revamp and bulb planting. Grrrrrrr:wallbanging:

I know what you mean @wiseowl , a dose of garden is the best medicine by far.:gardening: Rarely does anything stop me ( except really cold strong winds and extremely cold weather:heehee: ) from having at least an hour or two out there. But I have osteoporosis in my lower spine and when it's really bad it limits what can be done.
Somehow though it always picks the most inconvenient time to play up!:dunno:

I have even prepped my winter and waterproof gear in readiness for the autumn/ winter seasons!:dbgrtmb:
