    Aloha everyone,

@Upsydaisy I hope you're feeling better today. :grphg:

I've been taking things easy with regard to gardening whilst I recover from back problems but am nearly back to my normal situation of do a little bit out there, then stop of a lengthy cuppa then repeat for as long as I think reasonable. I have plenty of sitting down things to do all the time so I'm busy non-stop.

We have 20 people coming for dinner on Saturday :phew: and I'm busy planning the menu and shall start prepping things tomorrow. I was hoping for good weather for eating outside but not too sure at the moment.

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

      Morning all!:)

Still in a lot of pain with my back and all movements are difficult and very slow.
Going out to do some dead heading in a moment, not too sure about attempting any bulb planting....too much bending would be required.

My brother, bless him, has offered to push my Dad in the wheelchair tomorrow......and it's my brother's wheelchair that we're borrowing!!! :heehee: I have to attend the hospital app with my Dad anyway so fingers crossed we will all hobble through it together!! I can imagine the looks I'd get from everyone if they thought I was allowing a disabled person to push someone else in a wheelchair!!:yikes:

      Have a good day everyone.:)

Good morning everyone, I have also joined the bad back brigade. What with that and my torn ligament in my knee I do feel as though I need a break. @Upsydaisy and @shiney I hope you are on the mend shortly. Have a good day, take care and wrap up warm and dry and above all stay safe and well. @Flumpy I don't think my back would bear a massage it is so painful at the slightest movement.

                Aloha everyone,

@moyra sorry to hear you have joined the Brigade! I wish you better :grphg:

My back is a lot better today but I'm keeping away from doing bending work. I shall start on the cooking for Saturday and take a few breaks, at appropriate times, during the cooking. Lots of onions to slice, soften and slightly brown for the first dish I'm making. Whilst that is happening (don't forget to watch and stir the pan :rolleyespink:) I shall be cutting and trimming a load of shin of beef. Sarafi will like that :cat-kittyandsmiley: He always turns up when I'm cooking and miaows at the back door, with his nose pressed up against the glass. :)

Keep well and have a great day

                Aloha!

                  Afternoon all! :)

Sorry to hear about your back @moyra, I certainly feel for you. My back is also so painful...I dare anyone to come anywhere near me. I felt every jolt during the car journey this morning.
Didn't help that my Dad was in a cantankerous mood and said some very hurtful words to me as I was struggling to push him through the hospital , I was close to tears I must admit.
I was dropped back at home as I couldn't face going back to spent the afternoon with them.
Now doing some 'gentle ' housework and listening to some calming classical music.....bliss. I have to go through a repeat performance in a couple of weeks , the same time that I will have my sister to look after as well.....trying to block that thought out for the time being!!;)

                  Have a fab afternoon everyone!!:)

                    Aloha everyone,

@Upsydaisy take it easy today. :grphg:

I've got to get the big gazebo, big enough to seat 20 under it, erected today ready for tomorrow. My back isn't looking forward to it but I had better get it done soon as they forecast rain from late morning.

Keep well and have a great day

                      Hi,

I'm sorry to learn so many of you have bad backs and hope each of you can get better quickly; the problem of course is as soon as you start to feel better out comes the spade and mower etc.

I'm still pretty mobile so how about me dropping a Cummins V8 into a wheelchair for you Upsy as a start then you could just hang on instead of pushing your dad around? In a couple of weeks take along some good quality ear muffs or a Walkman; relations can be a real pain that's why I divorced all my relations a few years ago to finally get a bit of peace.

I hope I'm not making light of back pain but just trying to be cheerful; have you noticed how when you feel rock bottom some fool remarks there's always someone worse off never mentioning the millions who are better off?

I too have a bit of back trouble at the moment but it's my own fault for going mad cutting back laurels and digging laurel stumps up together with lots of shredding; I'm just happy at 72 to be here enjoying life.

Chin up Upsy you've got lots of friends here. :awesome:

                      Kind regards, Colin.

Yes, but we always needed to make sure we had a heavy club to hand as we had to queue outside the cave and keep an eye out for dinosaurs. :hate-shocked:
