Awe big hugs Upsydaisy :grphg: for you and family, Xmas and birthdays are always the hardest times, I’m thinking of you all.

Yes it was hectic, the phone is constantly ringing, my head was banging, but I put my foot down and said I had to finish at 3.30 coz I had to pick a parcel up, which was true

Thanks @Flumpy for your kind words.
Yes such times are very hard , especially as Mum's birthday was so close to Christmas too. She loved doing a huge buffet spread for the family on Christmas day evening and I can remember the look on the faces of my nieces and our 3 sons as they rushed into the dining room and shrieked in amazement at the table....all was homemade and all her grandchildren still remember it fondly to this day!!
I have taken over this since she passed away but nearer to New Year, sadly not nearly matching her standards though!:heehee:..and not all homemade either;)....sssh!

Sometimes you have to be firm and stand your ground, well done.
When is your next day off and are you going to get a good break at Christmas ?

I’m meant to have three hours off every Wednesday but due to short staff it doesn’t always work out, I’ve booked two days off in Feb, one in January then I’ve got a week off in March yay! :hapydancsmil:Can’t wait x

            Aloha everyone,

We have a lovely pink sky but it will turn out a very sunny day.

I'm going for my Christmas/New Year haircut today. I've been retired almost 20 years but none of my ex-staff will take any money for my haircut. I now go to the same girl every time :blue thumb: The only way I can get away with paying her for it is to call it a Christmas present for her family and I put £200 cash in her card :candy:

Keep well and have a great day

            Aloha!

Good morning @moyra and to all who drop by.
A damp old day is on the cards but there are plenty of indoors chores to pass the time.:)

                        Aloha everyone,

Nasty weather outside so Lewis won't be turning up to do the heavy gardening. :dunno: If there are any gaps in the weather I may do some work out there.

Mrs Shiney is in bed with a very bad cold. So I shall keep away from here - apart from bringing her hot drinks and food. She is supposed to be going on a course tomorrow and running a seminar (Christmas wreath making) on Sunday. I hope she feels up to it as she has got all the plants, foliage etc. ready and the people are expecting to make their wreaths for their front doors.

Keep well and have a great day

                        Aloha!
