Awe big hugs Upsydaisy for you and family, Xmas and birthdays are always the hardest times, I’m thinking of you all.

Yes it was hectic, the phone is constantly ringing, my head was banging, but I put my foot down and said I had to finish at 3.30 coz I had to pick a parcel up, which was true

Yes such times are very hard , especially as Mum's birthday was so close to Christmas too. She loved doing a huge buffet spread for the family on Christmas day evening and I can remember the look on the faces of my nieces and our 3 sons as they rushed into the dining room and shrieked in amazement at the table....all was homemade and all her grandchildren still remember it fondly to this day!!
I have taken over this since she passed away but nearer to New Year, sadly not nearly matching her standards though!..and not all homemade either....sssh!

Sometimes you have to be firm and stand your ground, well done.
When is your next day off and are you going to get a good break at Christmas ?

I’m meant to have three hours off every Wednesday but due to short staff it doesn’t always work out, I’ve booked two days off in Feb, one in January then I’ve got a week off in March yay! Can’t wait x

Hope Mrs S is better soon @shiney .It's the
season of colds I'm afraid, hubs has been permanently attached to a box of tissues for the last couple of days too.

Need to banish such bugs from the hous before our lot arrive home for the holidays.

 

Sorry to hear H is confined to bed @shiney. Hope she feels better soon and is able to meet her commitments.
