          Aloha everyone,

The rain stopped about 9.30 a.m. yesterday so I did some more leaf clearing.

Mrs Shiney is feeling a bit rough but insists on going to her course. She shall wear her mask all day.

I think I shall do a load of pressure hosing, then prepare things for tomorrow's seminar.

I'll need to clean a lot of buckets (for everyone to put their rubbish from the plants and foliage, as they will be indoors), organise the boxes of foliage etc. ready for being able to get them indoors. I've covered the whole room in dust sheets, got the tables ready and I think that's it. :blue thumb:

I shall also go out and do some shopping to make a tasty dinner for Mrs Shiney. I think I'll make a type of chicken chasseur with lots of veggies cooked into it and a touch of spice.

Keep well and have a great day

          Aloha!

Hi @Flumpy ,I've had a really busy day . Have given all the downstairs rooms a good clean then put all the Xmas decorations up. I always find it hard to hoover around the tree once it's up and can only lightly dust and polish when all the Christmas ornaments are in their places so knowing it's all had a thorough clean won't make me feel so bad in a few weeks time!!!;)
The next couple of weeks are looking to be quite hectic so I'm glad the decs are done.

I have 2 cinema dates this week and next week, hair appointment, 3 separate 'catch ups' with friends, 2 all day visits to my Dad's ,1 to do some gardening and the other is laundry, housework and putting up his Xmas decs . I will also be visiting an elderly lady who lives nearby at some point.

I have planned to have a couple of days baking in readiness for the holidays. We have all 3 sons coming down to stay ,plus a girlfriend too. At some point I will have a day hoovering /dusting the bedrooms and making up all the beds.

Over the holidays I always do a buffet for ALL the family...could be up to 20 people if they are free that day ,it tends to be short notice :heehee:!! We don't get to see our boys that often so what time we can get to spend just with them is very precious. But the big family get together will still happen.

So all in all the more I can get done now then the more time I have to spend with our boys.:dbgrtmb:

So....how are you and how has your day/ weekend been.:)

Wooow! You’ve going to be very busy, sounds like my full time job :heehee:

I’ve been cleaning, putting Xmas tree up and doing the washing, my brother came to visit last night while my hubby was on his works doo.

We are going to my parents for Xmas, I’ll be helping in the kitchen.

What are you watching at the cinema?

                      Aloha everyone,

It has been a busy day here as well. This morning Mrs Shiney was giving a teach in on making Christmas wreaths and I was helping get things ready before they all turned up. I put out lots of boxes of different foliage and other goodies for the wreaths. Got the floor covered in dust sheets and the tables covered. Then cleared up the mess afterwards.

Whilst the course was going on I did another load of pressure washing and then clearing leaves. With the strong winds all the leaves have now come off the willows. :phew: I don't compost willow as it takes too long to rot down - and it's a problem getting all the thin whip branches out. I filled three wheelie bins with everything jammed down tight. I could only just move the bins when they were full.

Fed the birds. Raked a lot of the flower beds and put the debris on the compost heaps. Put mouse poison in the loft as the little B's have been doing some damage up there. Picked up a lot more windfalls and left a couple of dozen on the ground for the birds.

Paid some bills for the village hall. Had a chat with the presiding officer about her wanting me to open up the Polling Station at 6 a.m. (normally 6.30).

We then went out for a curry. :blue thumb:

Keep well and have a good sleep

                      Aloha!
