    Aloha everyone,

    @Upsydaisy the new version of Cats looks interesting and we might go and see it if we can find time. We went to the dress rehearsal of the original West End production in 1981 (it's not what you know but who you know :whistle:) and I remember Elaine Page, Brian Blessed, Paul Nicholas and Wayne Sleep being in it. It was the first show I had been to where the cast come into the audience and it was quite a surprise.

    I was also at the dress rehearsal of My Fair Lady when it opened in 1958 and went to all the major cast changes (always got free tickets :blue thumb:) for the full run of the show whilst it was at Drury Lane (I think that was at the end of 1963).

    I hope to finish the pressure washing today.

      Yes I saw the stage version too @shiney way back in time. It was very different as you said.:)
      I can remember taking our boys to see Starlight Express years ago,that was different too and the boys loved it!!:)
      Love Elaine Page saw her in Chess too, along with Barbara Dickson.:) Really wanted to see her in Evita but sadly never got round to managing it.:sad:

          Didn't see her in either of those but saw her in A Little Night Music, in Bristol. We were taken down there for a weekend treat by one of our suppliers. It was mainly to watch the power boat grand prix but with an evening out as well - and hotel. I rarely turn down freebies :heehee:. They also took us to the Grand Prix at Brands Hatch and flew us in, and out, by helicopter. We weren't really interested in the race but wanted to have the helicopter ride. :whistle:

            Really looking forward to seeing this version of Cats. My friends and I booked out the date in our diaries as soon as we knew the release date...we didn't care that Xmas was so close...we were...are going!!!:lunapic 130165696578242 5: Nothing is going to stop us!:dbgrtmb:

                  Yes the original musical was , so hopefully the film version will be too. Release date is the 20th...so made certain that nothing is on that day, apart from a cinema trip!:roflol:

                      Although it's freezing out there I filled up the bird feeders (they sang to me :blue thumb:), had a wander to the bottom of the garden, picked up the last of the windfalls (I think) and took this photo - which has brightened up my morning.

                        Seems a bit of a dark start to our day down here, still need the lights on!

                        Hopefully I will finally get to sweep up the leaves that the heavy winds brought down over the weekend today...not sure what today's weather is so better check that out first.
