My yucca made a huge flower spike years ago then nothing, but kept having babies which I removed and planted else where. Its now just starting to flower again - don't know why it failed last year, but seems to be OK this year - I am tempted to remove two of spikes, but have not done so.

I think they're best left alone once planted, its OK to remove the odd pup but if you can leave them, they will all flower eventually, and the bigger the clump the more likely you are to get sucsessive flowers every year.
