Thanks Vee, I just coated them in a metal effect emulsion and then sprayed them with a coating of spray paint which gives a rough stone finish? Similar to this one http://www.diy.com/nav/decor/paint-...ust-Oleum-Multi-Text-Aged-Iron-400ml-11117667

 

Absolutely gobsmacked, beautiful garden Yvonne and shows me what can really be achieved. Amazing and hope mine is half as good as yours and I will be extremely happy.

 

Just looked at your efforts for the first time and am stuuned by what you've achieved.
Just wish I'd the imagination and energy to create something similar.

It's really come on well after all your hard work Yvonne, stunning! I love the shape of your right hand border. I wish I could have borders in my gardens but unfortunately I have mains supplies running through the edges and I'm not allowed to plant within 9ft of them, it's so frustrating!
